The energy and heat transferred to the mass, exploding into stars and space dust and who knows what the hell else, though I'm sure we've figured out most of it by know. The question about this Loom of Fate, or Carl Sagan's (and/or Carole King's) "Tapestry", is to its purpose and who is the weaver. F**k your gang. F**k your religion. F**k your money. F**k your Ism.
