St. Matthew’s Choir had the distinguished honor of performing at the 19th Annual Roman & Eastern Catholic and Orthodox Christian Ecumenical Service of Prayer for Christian Unity at Holy Forty Martyrs Armenian Orthodox Church in Santa Ana, California.

It was a beautiful and inspiring display of faith, fellowship, and Christian unity under one roof.

His life reminds us that visibility can change history. By speaking openly, standing proudly, and fighting for dignity even in the face of hatred, he gave hope to countless people who felt unseen. His message still echoes today: every voice matters, every person deserves respect, and hope is strongest when it is shared.

That belief continues to inspire generations to lead with compassion, stand up for justice, and create communities where everyone can live authentically and without fear.

Thank you to everyone from Comunidad, One Heart, and CMLGP (Catholic Ministry of Le***an Gay Persons) who joined us for the Long Beach Pride Parade.

The event was a beautiful celebration of unity, love, and community.

✝️ God’s presence was felt in every cheer, every hug, every wave, and every “Happy Pride” shared along the route.

✝️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Join Comunidad on Sunday, June 28th, at 3:00 PM at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary Pride Mass.
