A CRY OF AGONY
“In my distress I called upon the LORD and cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, even into His ears.” (Psalm 18:6)
God not only will deliver His trusting people out of their difficulties in due time but will give them grace to bear up under their trials in the meantime. Give God the glory for the deliverances and advancements of His Kingdom. He delivers His faithful ones even from their strongest enemies (Psalm 18:17). (THANKFUL THURSDAY!) >

GOD IS JUST AND THE SAVIOR
“Let your hearts be turned to Me, so that you may have salvation, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is no other” (Isaiah 45:22)
People all around are called by the Lord through Isaiah to draw near to the LORD. None besides can help; He is the Savior, who can save without the assistance of any, but without whom none can be saved. If the heart is brought into obedience of Christ, the knee will cheerfully obey His commands. To Christ men shall come from every nation for blessings; all that hate His cause shall be put to shame, and all believers shall rejoice in Him as their Friend and Portion. All must come to Him: may we now come to Him as the Lord our Righteousness and walk according to His commandments. (GOD IS WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!) >

OVERWHELMED WITH TROUBLE
“My eyes mourn because of affliction; O LORD, daily I have called upon You; I have stretched out my hands to You.” (Psalm 88:9)
Sometimes the best of God’s people is severely affected and afflicted with their inward troubles. They are overwhelmed with depressing concerns. Praise God, we have a special privilege not everyone has, access His Throne of grace to which we may seek for mercy and strength. Let there be no offenses that would prevent the Lord from giving favorable regard to our requests, such times should be times of earnest heart searching. (TRUST JESUS TUESDAY!) >

PRAYERS DIRECTED TOWARD GOD’S TEMPLE
“This is the temple where You have chosen to be worshiped. Please watch over it day and night and listen when I turn toward it and pray… So whenever any of us look toward this temple and pray, answer from Your home in heaven and forgive our sins.” (1 Kings 8:29-30 (CEV)
All cost and pains are lost on elegant structures unless God has been in the work. God addresses man through Solomon’s words: “Thus saith the Lord, the heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool: where is the house that ye build unto Me? and where is the place of My rest?” In this excellent prayer, Solomon does as we should do in every prayer, give glory to God. Fresh experiences of the truth of God's promises call for larger praises. The experiences we have of God's promises, should encourage us to depend upon them, and to plead them with Him. If we expect further mercies, we must be thankful for former mercies. God's promises must be the guide of our desires, and the ground of our hopes and expectations in prayer. (MAGNIFY GOD MONDAY!) >

JONAH’S JEOPARDY
They said to one another, “Come, let us cast lots, that we may know on whose account this evil has come upon us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah. (Jonah 1:7)
The proposal of the sailors, though superstition seems to have dictated it, we can sense an implied recognition of God using the storm for His purpose. The sailors considered their present distress as a visitation from God. And in this they judged truly. Storms do take place under the direction of God’s intervention. Likewise, God uses the operation of natural conscience in the unbelieving sailors; for they believe not only that it was Him who sent the storm, but that the storm was the evident proof of His displeasure on account of sin. In Jonah’s case, his disobedience from God’s calling. Sin indeed is the great cause of all the evils with which mankind are afflicted. (LET US NOT NEGLECT WORSHIPING GOD TODAY) >

WHEN GOD SAID GO, JONAH SAID NO
“Jonah ran from the LORD. He went to the seaport of Joppa and bought a ticket on a ship that was going to Spain. Then he got on the ship and sailed away to escape.” (Jonah 1:3)
Men may be distinctly called of God to proclaim His message to other people yet refuse to obey. That is the best way to describe Jonah. When God called him to go to, his response was a resounding no! But know that unwillingness to follow the call of God will not rid one of the obligations and duties to the calling of God. God will send His storms to teach the wisdom of obedience. So, when God says, “Go to you,” don’t say “No.” (SERVE GOD SATURDAY!) >

GOD RULES FROM HEAVEN
“Why should the nations say, "Where now is their God?" Our God is in the heavens; He has done whatever He has pleased.” (Psalm 115:2-3)
Declaring the majesty of God, the psalmist affirms to his readers that: (1) God is great in His moral excellence (v.1). His mercy and truth lie at the foundation of all moral greatness. In God these two exist in essential unity and in infinite perfection. (2) God is great in His sovereignty (v.3). He is over all. There is no being above Him, the highest are infinitely below Him, and in all His operations He is absolutely free. He has no counsellor to teach Him, no power to restrain Him in any course. He acts according to His own good pleasure. (3) He shows the folly of idol worshippers. He declares, “The ones who make them are like them, and so is everyone who trusts in them (v.8). NO OTHER GOD BUT ISRAEL’S GOD
He returned to the man of God, he and all his company. And he came and stood before him. And he said, "Behold, now I know that there is no God on all the earth, but in Israel" (2 Kings 5:15).
This is the declaration of Naaman, a Syrian military officer when convinced of the power of the God of Israel. He declares, He is God, and He is God alone, and that indeed there is no God in all the earth but in Israel. But such is the misery of many, they believe on many gods but in reality had no God. Naaman had formerly thought the gods of Syria are gods indeed, but now experience had resolved his mistake, and he knew Israel's God was God alone. He is the supreme Lord of all. Had he seen other lepers cleansed, perhaps the sight would not have convinced him, but the mercy of the cure affected him more than the miracle of it. The best who could speak of the power of God’s grace are those who have themselves experienced it. (THANKFUL THURSDAY ‘ALL!) (COME TODAY AT 6PM FOR OUR STUDY OF REVELATION & END TIME) (>

THE GOD WHO MADE THE WORLD
“'To an unknown God.' So then, He Whom you worship in ignorance is the One that I proclaim to you. He is the God Who made the world and all things that are in it. Being the Lord of heaven and earth, He does not dwell in temples made by hands” (Acts 17:23-24)
Paul shares one problem he saw to people who long to know God but without the guidance of God and His Word. He calls them “worshiping in ignorance.” Not very few who call themselves Christians, eager in their devotions, yet the great object of their worship is to them an “unknown God.” Paul shares what glorious things the God whom he served and would have them to serve. The Lord had long endured with idolatry, but the times of this ignorance are now ending, and by His servants He commands all men everywhere to repent of their idolatry. “That time has come. This is the day for you to be saved” (2 Cor. 6:2). Turn to God, repent of your sin of idolatry and experience His salvation. (God is wonderful Wednesday!) >

THE LAND DIVIDED BY THE LORD
“But let the distribution of the land be made by the decision of the Lord: by the names of the tribes of their fathers let their heritage be given them. As it is ordered by the decision of the Lord, let distribution be made between those who are more in number and those who are less.” (Numbers 26:55-56)
In distributing the land to the 12 tribes of Israel, the general rule of equity and fairness is prescribed. To many should be given more, and to fewer less. Though it seems left to the discretion of their leader, the matter at last must be settled by the providence and wisdom of God, with which all must be satisfied. The casting of lot is done to remove any suspicion that some were unfairly favored (v.56), and to prevent jealousies and disputes. Bottom line: God shows no partiality (Romans 2:11), so must we. COMING IN THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN
“They shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.” (Mark 13:26)
The end of the age will be marked by religious apostasy (turning away from the faith) (Mark 13:6), wars and rumors of wars (v.7), turmoil among kingdoms (v.8), earthquakes, famines, and trouble (v.8), the publishing of the gospel in all nations (v.10), disregard of law (v.12), and manifestations of hatred toward the preachers of the gospel (v.13). The age will end in a time of trouble such as the world has never known (v.19) and will end in the glorious appearing of Christ in the clouds (v.26). Let it be our care that whenever He will come He may find us at our duty, ready to meet Him. (Magnify God Monday!) >

PRAISE TO THE CREATOR OF ALL
“Everyone in this world should worship and honor the LORD! As soon as he spoke the world was created; at his command, the earth was formed.” (Psalm 33:8-9)
Those who know the goodness of God should never be empty of His praises. Though God’s glory is in the highest heavens, His eye is upon every inhabitant of earth and no detail of their lives escapes His observation. Never miss a single moment praising and thanking God our Creator! (Come, let us worship and give praise to God!) >
