Good morning First Church!! Just a note: yes, it is the Grand Prix weekend so the roads are closed south of Ocean - but you can still get to church from the East, the West, and the North! And, the Civic Center Garage is charging a flat rate as you enter if you are parking for the Grand Prix - please just say you are here for church, and they will let you in like usual. Today is going to be an amazing day to be at church, see you soon!

We are blessed as a congregation to have So Much Talent within our walls at First Church. BOCA is thrilled to invite you to yet another concert showcasing the creativity and talent of our own members here at FCCLB. "A Fusion of Music and Art with Barry Stees & Friends" will feature bassoonist and FCCLB member Barry Stees, along with his wife Melinda and other First Church members for an unforgettable afternoon of music blended with visual arts.

The concert will take place in the Sanctuary at 2:00pm on Sunday, April 19, 2026. This is a public event, so please invite your family and friends. A free-will offering will be accepted. There is a lot happening in the life of the church on April 19th, so please be aware there will be refreshments available in between events.

The First Church Library Team invites you all to The Power of Libraries, on April 19th at 11:30 in the Koinonia Room. We'll be hosting Amy & Erin, the guest librarians whose experiences with censorship in the Huntington Beach Public Library system we heard about briefly last October. Additionally, First Church librarians will speak to challenges they've faced in a variety of library settings and we'll explore some of what's freely available through your local library.

There will be snacks! And a surprise!
