Here’s What To Expect

Where are you? We are located at the corner of 10th Street and Termino Avenue on the eastside of Long Beach, California, just minutes from downtown and the shoreline. Parking is available on the cozy neighborhood streets surrounding our church. We also offer off-street parking at the LBS Credit Union located 3 blocks east at 10th and Ximeno. We suggest arriving 15 minutes be

fore service to secure the best and closest parking (Link to Map and Directions)
When are worship services? Sunday Worship Service starts at 10:00 am and typically lasts until about 11:15, sometimes a little longer. We offer Sunday school for children and teens. Generally, they stay with parents for the worship portion of our Sunday Service and then are dismissed to attend Sunday school activities. What do I wear? We want you to be comfortable at Christ Chapel Long Beach. If you wear dressy, business, or casual attire, there will surely be others dressed much like you. Yes, worship services are a time when some prefer to don their “Sunday best,” but many others do not, so please just wear what you are comfortable in and you’ll be right at home with us. What should I expect? Greeters welcome you to the service and point you to our sanctuary. Ushers help you find a seat, provide information and give you a bulletin outlining the order of service. Our worship consists of prayer, a mix of contemporary and gospel music, a biblical sermon, and an offering. Though visitors are acknowledged and welcomed, you will not be singled out as a visitor. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month and is also available every Sunday at the Chancel following service. You need not be a member to share Holy Communion with us. Then what? After worship service you are invited to our Fellowship Hall to enjoy coffee, treats and a time to get to know each other. We call this our “fellowship hour” though it rarely lasts that long. Come, get to know us, we welcome your visit!

Take a Minute with Doc & Coach

Dr. Jessie Haase and Coach Debbie Lambert are joined by one of their church brothers, Ronn again for Part 2 of Immanuel for Dummies. No matter who you are, what you have done, who you love Jesus invites us into a relationship with him. Today we discuss what is means for us to live by what are called the fruits of the spirit. When we choose to invite Jesus into our hearts, He is always with us, He even gives us the words to say when we open up to Him.
