Today was a beautiful Sunday to worship our Lord and Savior and witness another beautiful young soul being baptized into the Lord, accepting His love and glory. Additionally, we enjoyed a wonderful fellowship afterward, filled with good food, conversations, and joy, as our Lord brought us together to share.

The post-prayer shawl ministry luncheon consistently provides a valuable opportunity for fellowship. We cherish these shared moments and the creation of shawls for the community. We reflect on the profound love embedded in each shawl, not only from our efforts but also as a testament to divine affection. Our monthly gatherings, held at the end of each month, involve engaging conversation while crocheting or knitting. We discuss matters of faith and life, fostering a truly enriching experience. For those new to the craft or interested in learning, these sessions offer an excellent starting point.

This month, Grace Lutheran Church has been actively engaged in community outreach initiatives. We have supported our local fire and police departments by providing hydration, delivered essential school supplies to the neighboring educational institution, and prepared a special recognition for all educators. Furthermore, this coming Saturday, we will be dedicating our efforts to crafting prayer shawls for individuals in need. These endeavors highlight our commitment to extending kindness to others, reflecting the kindness and love we receive from God.

Additionally, our children in children's church are currently engaged in learning profound biblical verses that emphasize the principles of love and kindness. These lessons aim to instill in them the importance of demonstrating affection and care for one another, as well as understanding the unconditional love of Jesus and His unwavering support throughout life's journey. Our dedicated volunteers on Sundays lead them in song and prayer, followed by engaging games, play-dough activities, and coloring pages. Our older children have expressed great enthusiasm for their involvement in various activities with the younger children, embracing the opportunity to assume significant roles within our church community and actively participate in our worship services.

Once a month, our church organizes a small group to prepare and serve breakfast to some of the esteemed seniors in our community. We also take the opportunity to sit, converse, and share moments of joy with them. These gatherings are always delightful and consistently bring happiness to our seniors. We firmly believe in the importance of contributing to our community and serving others, as we are guided by our faith. It is a privilege to be present and share these experiences with others. We acknowledge the goodness of God in all things.

Hello everyone!

Just a reminder, until the first week of August, we are accepting donations of water, Gatorade, Powerade, Body Armor, and anything similar for the Long Beach Fire Department and Police Department! Help us keep the ones that we depend on safe, healthy, and hydrated!

The prayer shawl ministry makes all these wonderful shawls and baby blankets! 🙏🧶👶 We then bless them and give them out to those in need! 💖🎁 We are always looking for more people to come and join us in making them! 🤗🧵 It's always so fun to come together and do God's work side by side. 🙌😊
