OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT Office of the Jurisdictional Secretary First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction

TO: All Pastors, Ministers, Church Leaders, and Saints of the First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother and leader, Superintendent Lazelle Rogers.

Superintendent Rodgers served with distinction, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to the work of the Lord and the advancement of the Church of God in Christ. His labor of love has left an indelible mark on our jurisdiction, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

During this time of bereavement, we solicit your fervent prayers for his family, his loved ones, and the congregation he so faithfully shepherded. We ask that the Lord grant them comfort, peace, and strength in the days ahead.

Please be advised that funeral arrangements are currently pending. As soon as the details are finalized and confirmed, we will provide an official update to all constituents of the jurisdiction.

We ask that you continue to keep the Rodgers family and the Normandie Community Worship Center COGIC church family in your constant prayers as we navigate this transition together.
