"You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar." — Psalm 139:1-2 🌿
Before a word is on our tongue, God knows it completely. Before we ask for forgiveness, God is already at work to set things right. Psalm 139 doesn't let us hide. Not in the heights, not in the depths, not in the darkness, not at the farthest limits of the sea. Wherever we go, the hand of God finds us and holds us fast.
That could be terrifying. The psalm insists it is something else entirely.
