Happy Laudato Si week everyone! To celebrate, some of our families went on a lovely walk at the NH Audubon Massabesic Center in Auburn led by Mike Speltz! He taught us so much- like did you know that, as part of the orchid family, lady slippers lure bees into their pouches with a sweet scent and that for the bees to leave the flower they must pass through the pollen!?! What a clever way to pollinate. That's just one of the many AMAZING facts about nature that we learned. Time and time again it was clear how interconnected every part of the natural world is, including us human beings! If you'd like more information about Laudato Si and why it's so important for us to be stewards of God’s magnificent creation check out laudatosiweek.org.
The USCCB asks us, How can you respond to the call in Laudato Si’ to ā€œhear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poorā€?

It has been a week since the St. Mark’s SleepOut where, in an effort to raise awareness about youth homelessness and support the nonprofit Waypoint, 13 teenagers and a handful of adults made the choice to sleep outside in cardboard shelters.
As this event fades in our memories, we pray- may we not forget the harsh realities that those struggling to find stable housing face everyday. May we remember to encounter every person as our brother or sister in Christ offering respect, presence and listening ears. May we hear the cry of the poor and the suffering and act out of love and compassion. Amen.

His Healing Touch is a faith-based space offering hope and support for those suffering from chronic pain, illness, isolation, or hardship of any kind. We seek to foster connections as we encourage one another in our journeys, especially during these difficult times.
Meetings are ongoing, so you can feel free to join us at any time. Sessions will be offered twice a month and will last approximately one hour. We welcome you to participate in the discussion, or just sit and listen. There are no requirements. We look forward to seeing you as we seek to grow closer to our Lord’s healing touch together.
Our first session will be held via Zoom this Wednesday, May 12 at 11:00 AM.
These sessions are confidential and there are no requirements to share any personal information. Any and all discussion will be determined by the comfort level of those participating. Each session will look at a passage from the treasury of healing and hope found in Sacred Scripture. There are no materials or fees required to take part in a His Healing Touch session. Come as you are - share in the hope, encouragement, and support that the Holy Spirit has prepared for you.
If you are interested, please send us an email at [email protected], or by calling the parish office at 603-432-8711. We will put your contact information into a private Flocknote group, through which you will receive information on upcoming sessions, as well as links to connect with us! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
