The Blessed First Ten Days of Dhul-Hijjah

The first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are among the most sacred and beloved days to Allah ﷻ. The Prophet ﷺ said:

“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” (Bukhari)

These are days of immense mercy, forgiveness, and opportunity. Let us strive to increase in:
Salah and Qur’an recitation
Dhikr and Takbeer
Fasting, especially the Day of ‘Arafah
Charity and helping others
Sincere du‘a and repentance

Do not let these blessed days pass by like ordinary days. Every good deed is multiplied, and every moment is a chance to draw closer to Allah ﷻ.

May Allah accept our worship, forgive our shortcomings, and allow us to make the most of these precious days. Ameen.

The Mercy, Love, and Concern of the Prophet ﷺ for His Ummah

The life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is a living example of compassion, mercy, and deep care for humanity. Allah describes him in the Qur’an:

“Indeed, there has come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; he is concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful.” (9:128)

His mercy was not limited to his companions—it extended to every member of his ummah, even those who would come long after him. He ﷺ would spend nights in prayer, weeping and making du‘ā for us, saying, “My Ummah, my Ummah.”

There is a beautiful narration in which the Prophet ﷺ was seen in a state of sorrow. Jibreel عليه السلام came to him and asked why he was distressed. The Prophet ﷺ replied, “My Ummah, my Ummah.” Jibreel عليه السلام then conveyed glad tidings from Allah—that He would not disappoint him regarding his ummah.

Even in the most difficult moments, such as the incident of Ta’if, when he was rejected and harmed, he did not seek revenge. Instead, he prayed for guidance for his people, hoping that future generations would believe.

On the Day of Judgment, while others will say “myself, myself,” the Prophet ﷺ will say “my ummah, my ummah,” interceding and pleading for our forgiveness.

This is the depth of his love—a love rooted in mercy, patience, and sincere concern for our success in this life and the next.

Let us honor that love by following his example, embodying mercy in our own lives, and striving to remain connected to his teachings.

‏اللهم صلي على سيدنا ومولانا محمد

Happy Thanksgiving!

As many in our wider community come together today to reflect on the blessings in their lives, we at Islamic Education Services of London extend warm greetings of peace, gratitude, and togetherness.

In Islam, shukr (gratitude) is a deeply rooted value. Allah ﷻ reminds us:

“If you are grateful, I will surely increase you.”
— Qur’an 14:7

On this day of reflection, may we remember:

* To thank Allah for His countless mercies
* To appreciate our families, neighbours, and communities
* To share with those in need, as charity (sadaqah) is at the heart of our faith
* To strengthen bonds of compassion across all backgrounds and traditions

Whether you celebrate Thanksgiving or simply take the day as a moment to pause and reflect, we pray that your homes are filled with peace, gratitude, and barakah.

From all of us at Islamic Education Services of London,
Happy Thanksgiving — and may Allah make us among the grateful.

Trust in Allah The Almighty God’s Plan — He Will Make a Way

(Surah At-Talaq 65:2–3)

“Whoever is mindful of Allah — He will make for them a way out,
and will provide for them from where they do not expect.
And whoever puts their trust in Allah — then He is sufficient for them.
Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose.
Allah has already set a measure for everything.”

Reflections:
• When we hold onto taqwa, Allah guides us to relief
• His provision may come from the most unexpected sources
• True success lies in placing complete trust in Him

No matter the struggle — keep your heart attached to Allah.
Your way out is already written. Your sustenance is already on its way.

Message from Islamic Education Services of London

In today’s world, political differences often divide communities. As Muslims, we are reminded through the Qur’an and Sunnah to uphold justice, respect, and kindness in all matters — even when we disagree.

At Islamic Education Services of London, we believe that:
• Political tolerance is not weakness, but strength through patience and wisdom.
• Free speech should be exercised with responsibility, truth, and respect.
• Mutual respect is the foundation of harmony in a diverse society.
• Differences in opinion should never lead to hatred or division, but to dialogue and understanding.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“The believer is not one who taunts, curses, speaks indecently, or abuses others.” (Tirmidhi)

Let us build bridges, not walls. Let us prove that despite our political differences, we can live with dignity, harmony, and compassion — true to the values of Islam and beneficial for all humanity.

Together, we can make London a beacon of peaceful coexistence.

Islam on Safeguarding Our Bodies

In Islam, our bodies are a trust (Amanah) from The Almight God, Allah ﷻ. We are commanded to protect them, care for them, and not harm them — because good health is a blessing and a responsibility.

The Qur’an reminds us:

“Do not throw yourselves into destruction with your own hands.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:195)

The Prophet ﷺ taught:

“Your body has a right over you.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Practical ways to safeguard our health in Islam:
* Eat halal and pure food
* Maintain cleanliness – “Cleanliness is half of faith” (Muslim)
* Avoid harmful substances and addictions
* Get enough rest and sleep
* Stay physically active and strong – “The strong believer is more beloved to Allah…” (Muslim)
* Seek treatment when ill

Remember: Looking after your health is not just self-care — it is an act of worship and obedience to Allah, The Almighty God

Let’s protect our bodies, so we can worship Allah, The Almighty God better, serve our families, and help our communities.

Guiding with Knowledge. Inspiring with Justice.

“O you who have believed, stand firmly for justice, as witnesses for Allah, even if it is against yourselves, your parents, or your relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted”
— Surah An-Nisa (4:135)

At Islamic Education Services of London, we are committed to nurturing a generation that upholds truth, justice, and integrity — not just in word, but in action. Islam teaches us that justice is not conditional — it applies even when it challenges our own interests or those of our loved ones.

Whether rich or poor, every soul deserves fairness.
Justice is a divine obligation, not a choice.
Let not personal bias or pressure steer us from the path of truth.

Let us raise voices for justice, as Allah commands, and become true ambassadors of Islam’s timeless values.
