Flood debris clean up in London:

The state has approved a flood debris disposal site in London. The Sheriff's Office is looking for volunteer to help with clean up this Monday, July 21st, starting at 8:00am in London. They are looking for individuals who will help remove debris from affected properties and take them to the disposal site. Individuals may come and go all day - even a few hours of work helps.

The Mid-Texas Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church has entered into an ongoing partnership with Texas On Mission to link local church mission teams to service projects to put God's command to love our neighbor into action. This partnership extends beyond the current flood relief projects. Rev. Brad DeHaven, pastor of St. Luke's Methodist Church of Corpus Christi has been appointed MidTexas Disaster Relief Coordinator

Flood Relief:

Tomorrow, July 12, "Texans on Mission" is looking for volunteers to help with clean-up along the San Saba river in Menard county. Training is 8:00am to noon with teams sent out after lunch. Meet at First Methodist GMC, 200 Gay Street, Menard. Lunch is provided free for those who contact the church in advance 325-396-2452.

"Texans on Mission" was founded in 1967 as "Texas Baptist Men". The Mid-Texas Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church, in an effort to avoid creating a large bureaucracy of boards and agencies, has partnered with "Texans on Mission" to provide an option similar to the work of UMCOR in our previous denomination.
