TONIGHT at 7 p.m. Central time you are invited to learn about the Indian boarding schools that operated in the U.S. throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Nearly half of these 400 schools received support from religious institutions, including the Lutheran Church. Since 2022 the ELCA has been trying to unearth records of its involvement; this presentation will review what has been found so far and what can educate and engage others in our congregations and synods for the truth-seeking and truth-telling that will lead to healing for Native Americans and us all. Attend at ELCA.org/TruthandHealing.
