St. Paul's Ladies Aid met on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 6:00 pm. Our night started off with a delicious meal served by Doris, Jan, Delores, Anette and Lori S. We all enjoyed barbecue pork sandwiches, German potato salad, seven layer salad, Carmel apple salad, potato chips, cheese, pickles, homemade bread, cherry pie, chocolate chip cookies and peanut squares. Needless to say we were all stuffed!!! After our meal Pastor led us in a Bible study on Romans 8. God will be there to help us as he knows best!

At 7:05 pm President Ann called the meeting to order. We had 13 members, one guest and Pastor present. 4 members were unable to attend. Carol and Debbie will be decorating the church windows for the fall season. Donations received from serving funerals goes to the Ladies Aid to purchase needed kitchen supplies. No Donations are required by members using the fellowship hall for events. However Donations are appreciated. LWMS RALLY will be Saturday, September 26 at Shepherd of the Hills. There were no birthdays to sign for. Meeting was adjourned at 7:40 pm. We closed with the Lords Prayer. No game was played as it was a hot one even with the fan blowing and several were ready to head home.

Our next meeting is Wednesday, October 7 at 6:00 pm. Everyone is asked to bring a salad that starts with the first letter of your birthday month. We will either be making a project or playing a game. Stay tuned for details!

Shirley was unable to attend our May meeting when we all shared our sentimental items. Shirley brought them along to our September meeting and shared them with everyone in attendance.

Another fun Ladies Aid meeting! All the Ladies of St. Paul's are welcome to join us. Feel free to attend a meeting to see what it's all about. Questions please ask.

ST. PAUL'S LADIES AID
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2026

All the Ladies of St. Paul's Town Lomira are invited to attend. Come and see what Ladies Aid is all about on Wednesday night. We start the night off with supper provided by five of our Ladies Aid members. After supper we have a short devotion led by Pastor. We then sign birthday hyms for those with birthdays in the month we are meeting. This month we will also sign for June, July and August. After we sign it is time for our business meeting. In September once we wrap up our meeting we have play a game on our agenda. Come join our fun group of LADIES!!! Just beware you will have A LOT OF FUN with LOTS OF LAUGHTER!!!

BRING THE LITTLE CHILDREN TO CHURCH

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Our Children’s Policy at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church MN.

We wanted to make sure everyone is aware of our policy regarding children in church:
If your kids are loud, please still come to church.
If you’re running late because getting everyone out the door was a battle, please still come to church.
If your toddler won’t sit still, please still come to church.
If your baby needs to eat, please still come to church.
If your child asks questions at the least convenient time, please still come to church.
If someone cries, drops a toy, needs a snack, or has to make their third trip to the bathroom, please still come to church.
If your child doesn’t know all the words, all the prayers, or exactly when to sit and stand, please still come to church.
If you feel like you spent the entire service managing your children and heard approximately 12% of the sermon, please still come to church.
If Sunday morning feels messy instead of peaceful, please still come to church.
If you’re worried your children are distracting the people around you, please still come to church.

Because children do not learn how to be part of the Church by staying home until they can sit quietly.

They learn by being here.
They learn the hymns by hearing us sing them.
They learn the prayers by hearing us pray them.
They learn to worship by watching us worship.
They learn that church is home because we make room for them here.

The wiggles, whispers, dropped crayons, crying babies, and little voices are not interruptions to the life of the Church.

They are evidence that the Church is alive.

So bring the babies. Bring the toddlers. Bring the big kids. Come late. Sit in the back. Sit in the front. Step out when you need to and come right back in.

Just come.
Children are not simply the future of the Church. They are part of the Church right now.
And at Shepherd of the Lakes, there is a place for them here.
