Pius X Youth Ministry is for any middle school, 6th-8th grade, and high school student interested in growing their faith, serving the community, and having fun with friends. The Youth Ministry at St. Pius X partners with our Religious Education program and together we seek to disciple teenagers through education, service, community, prayer, worship, and the sacraments. The youth group for middle s
chool students and the youth group for high school students both meet on Monday nights from 6:30-8pm. Through the Youth Ministry, at least two service opportunities are offered each month. Opportunities in the past have included, Feed My Starving Children, PADS, Marklund, Special Olympics, Relay for Life, SCARCE Recycling Center, Phil’s Friends, N IL Food Bank, Humanitarian Service Project, and Catholic Charities. The Youth Ministry also likes to have fun and do things like laser tag, mini golf, paintball, bowling, camping, swimming, rock climbing, ice skating, and white water rafting. The Youth Ministry stays in contact with parents and students through weekly newsletter emails, mass texts, and social media, such as facebook, twitter, and instagram.
