God, the master gardener, works with purpose and intention — cultivating a great harvest in and through every person. For the believer, this means a rich inward harvest: spiritual fruit growing and deepening through a life surrendered to Him. But the harvest doesn't stop there. As God transforms the individual, the fruit of that work spills outward, drawing others in — a harvest of people God loves that multiplies His glory.

Our series “Rooted: Grow Deep, Live Strong” continues. This week Joe Funari brings our focus to Jesus’ metaphor of the True Vine and branches from the 15th chapter of John’s gospel.

Jesus tells of the vital process of pruning and purging God does to enable His sons and daughters to be healthy and fruitful branches in His vine. We must see our Father’s hand in this work and that it is done for our good, for the good of His Christ-vine and for the eternal glory of us all.

But Jesus spoke these words on the night He was betrayed. So we will first try to put ourselves there with Him and turn our thoughts to what this analogy might have meant to Jesus Himself on that night. For Him, there may be more to this than metaphor.

Growth in the Christian life doesn't happen by sheer willpower — it's a partnership. Like a farmer who tills, plants, and waters but cannot force a single seed to sprout, we are called to cultivate the conditions for change: engaging with Scripture, leaning into community, and pursuing prayer and worship. The growth itself? That's God's work. Our job is simply to prepare the soil of our hearts and trust Him to do what only He can do.

The good news is that no matter where you are in life, growth is possible. When the right conditions are in place, God's work takes root. That means evaluating your environment, making the hard choices to remove what's crowding out change, and asking God with open hands to grow you — then having the courage to embrace it when He does. Your life can look different. Real, lasting transformation is available to you, and it starts with the soil.

Join us this Sunday as we lean in together with Allan Crawford and discover what God wants to grow in and through us. We can’t wait to see you there.

Please join us this Sunday as we begin a brand-new series, Rooted: Grow Deep, Live Strong—a meaningful journey centered on the quiet, faithful work of planting seeds in our lives and in the lives of others.

As we gather this Sunday, it’s especially fitting that this message falls on Mother’s Day. We take a moment to honor and celebrate all the moms among us—thank you for your love, your sacrifices, and the countless seeds you plant every single day. Even the unseen moments matter more than you know.

Throughout this series, we’ll explore what it means to plant seeds of faith, love, truth, and hope—and how to trust God with the growth, even when we don’t see immediate results. Because the seeds we plant today can shape lives for generations to come.

Join us this Sunday as we lean in together and discover what God wants to grow in and through us.

We can’t wait to see you there.
