Join us for a very exciting family workshop as we make Crescent Piñatas! We will provide you with all the materials and an instructor will guide you from start to finish. Kids under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult. One ticket covers the supplies for one piñata. Bushra Khan is a full time Artist and a full-time student at Uic. She has been painting her whole life and has recently gotten into digital illustration the past few years. She is involved in the Nft space, but has made it a goal to also forward her career in the traditional art world. Her work revolves around the lessons and perspectives she learns in life. She wants to illustrate the moments that can’t be spoken about. She believes that Art is a way of communicating the truths that can’t always be spoken with words.

Join us for a workshop where you will make a Ramadan Kareem door sign from start to finish and take it home to keep or gift to a loved one.

For the first time ever Ayesha from The ILM Shop will be leading a detailed 2-3 hour class in which you’ll paint, learn how to use a Cricut, including cutting calligraphy, weeding, applying vinyl, adding flowers, pouring resin and SO much more!! All supplies will be provided and complete piece will be similar to the one pictured.

The straw lantern workshop led by the amazing was a hit at our last Salaam Souk! These lanterns are the perfect accessory for any area inside your home. It will take place on a March 11th from 12-2 pm. Parents are more than welcome to accompany their kids during any of the kids workshops. Tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door.

Ramadan Kareem to you + your family!
This year Ramadan has a whole different meaning. The masajid are closed, no iftaar parties and no going out for late night suhoors! But the doors of Allah's mercy, forgiveness and protection are open for us. This month is a time for introspection. It has taught us that health is a big blessing and most importantly, that nothing in this world or lifetime is constant besides Allah SWT. I pray we all maximize our time this blessed month and become closer to HIM and to our own families in ways we haven't experienced before!
May this month be one filled with endless blessings, mercy and love for all! May it also bring peace and tranquility to all those that are grieving a loss, hurting, or struggling in ways only Allah knows. Ameen!
