There is a hadith that should stop every one of us: no one truly believes until his desires are in line with what the Prophet ﷺ brought.

So it is not only about what you do. It is about what you want.

Think of your goals, the life you are building, the future you picture for your children. Now lay that whole picture beside the Sunnah and be honest about what lines up and what does not. If it aligns, alhamdulillah. If it does not, we may be claiming īmān while it has not yet entered the heart.

The goal is not only to act right. It is to want what he ﷺ taught us to want. 🤲

They had no foreign backers slipping them cash.

No stockpile of weapons.

No political machine behind them.

Just simple, ordinary people.

So why did Allah (SWT) accept such extraordinary work from them?

Not money, not power. It was who they were: people who held to the deen at the highest level of their era, their ṣalāh, their zakāh, their fasting in Ramadan, their Hajj, their obedience, lived to the fullest degree.

That was the whole formula, and it has not changed. Bring those same qualities into your life, and Allah (SWT) can take from you the same way. 🤲

A look back at Imam Bilal ibn Yusuf’s Jummah at Masjid DarusSalam.

The day of Jumu’ah is upon us!

Here are a list of sunnahs to keep in mind:

📖 Recite Surah al-Kahf

📿 Send Salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ

🕌 Pray Jumu’ah Salah

🤲 Make time for Du’a

May Allah SWT accept from us all! Ameen.

Faith is nurtured within families, and families flourish when everyone has a place to belong.

This year’s Benefit Dinner will introduce DarusSalam’s vision for a new home dedicated to early learning, meaningful friendships, recreation, and Islamic enrichment. This welcoming space will nurture our children, embrace our girls and women, and firmly root the entire family in our dīn, inshāAllāh.

Together, let us build a place where faith is strengthened, families grow together, and every member of our community feels a true sense of belonging.

Time can either be a witness for us, or against us. ⌛

For those who do righteous actions and call towards truth and patience, time will be a witness to their good deeds.

But, for those who do not, time will testify against them.

May Allah SWT protect us. Ameen. 🤲

Tuesday Tafsir continues TONIGHT after Maghrib. ‼️

Some conversations we can only have with ourselves. And they should hurt.

Your heart should ache. Your eyes should sting. Ask yourself: what have I been living for all this time?

There is the deen of Instagram, the deen of your cousins, your community, the culture around you.

And then there is the deen of Allah (SWT) and His Rasūl ﷺ.

Be honest with yourself: how does your life actually line up with that one?

It is unnerving, and no one can do this work for you. The hardest person on you has to be you, because no one knows you the way you know yourself. 🤲
