When foster families have a committed community, everyone can feel the difference! 🤗

“I remember being at the [Termination of Parental Rights] trial when the [Georgia Division of Family and Children Services] lawyer asked us about our church support,” Sunshine Edmunds recalls.

“I was able to say that they are amazing. They opened their arms to each kiddo that we’ve brought to church. They met any need that we had financially or physically, and they just love like Jesus would love. To be able to say that in a court of law touched me.”

Her church's support touched the courtroom, too. On adoption day for Sunshine's young sons, the courtroom was full of her church family.

"I looked over at the bailiff — someone we didn’t know and someone not part of our story — and even he had a little tear rolling down his face.”

Kathryn and Chris Rivers prayed about closing their home. Their last placement was difficult, and they needed more support.

When they met two girls at their church who needed a foster home, they wanted to help. But they still needed support.

Then they found Families 4 Families. 😊

“It’s hard having a bunch of kids that you’re taking to different appointments and visits. Our case manager made sure that she was able to work with our schedule,” she said. “With Families 4 Families, we were seen. We were heard.

“Having a case manager say, ‘How can I pray for you?’ makes a difference. The case managers are faithful people who go to the Lord in prayer on our behalf and fight for what’s good for the kids."
