I need You to guide me and to shape my life today.

I am humbled as I approach You in prayer today, knowing that You love me, You hear me, and when I turn to You, You always come to me...

Sometimes I find myself living like my old self, living from a place of selfishness and shame.

But You have called me to...
..put off (my) old self,
which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires...
and to put on the new self,
created to be like God in true righteousness
and holiness.
Ephesians 4:22-24

Thank You for giving me new life where I can be forgiven and free of my old selfish ways.

Lord, I confess to You that I fall short time after time, and I am grateful that You allow me to put on my new self each day, clothed in Your righteousness and washed by Your grace.

With each new day, as I look to You, I am comforted with the hope that You are continually making me new...

Dear Lord God,

Thank You for Your mercies which are new every morning...

Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

Thank You for removing my transgressions from me as far as the east is from the west. Psalm 103:12

Help me to live in the freedom that Your grace provides.

Please help me to remember that You know me, nothing is hidden from You, and still You love me entirely.

May Your Holy Spirit keep this knowledge at the forefront of my mind as I go about my day.

Thank You for loving me completely. I pray that Your love will change me and my attitudes today.

Please teach me the meaning of true humility and please protect me from false modesty and self-deprecation.

Please shift my attention from myself, to Your faithfulness.

Thank You that Your grace is sufficient for me and Your strength is made perfect in my weakness. May the power of Christ rest upon me. II Corinthians 12:9

Help me to be gentle and kind with the people I encounter today.

Help me to remember that everyone is carrying their own stories of grief and sorrow.

I want to bring joy to those around me through my love of You and my love for them.

Thank You for Your love. Thank You for being good. Thank You that Your mercies are forever.
