We've been so happy to open our doors to local bands and artists who need a place to share their talent! We love seeing these live concerts at Prince of Peace!

"Traveller, joined by bands Youch!, Mr. Madame and World Record, performed at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Feb. 21. The church was transformed into a live music venue by adding lights and a smoke machine to the stage. The crowd sang and danced along, even forming a mosh pit multiple times throughout the night."

Prince of Peace is hosting a screening of the documentary Heightened Scrutiny tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 31st from 6-8pm.

This film exposes the dangerous role of mainstream media in fueling anti-trans legislation, uncovering how biased coverage drives hate, endangers lives, and threatens democracy itself.

ABOUT THE FILM:
Fearless civil rights lawyer Chase Strangio battles at the Supreme Court for transgender adolescents’ access to gender-affirming healthcare, confronting not only the legal system but also a media landscape that distorts public perception and threatens the struggle for trans rights. With the dangerous SCOTUS decision upholding the ban on life-saving healthcare, HEIGHTENED SCRUTINY is an urgent call to action against bigotry and injustice.

While Advent is a season of hope and Christmas is a season of joy, not everyone feels hopeful or like celebrating. Grief, illness, aging, depression, loneliness, unemployment, and loss are magnified. Even those who are not struggling with losses may feel the stress of preparations and expectations around Christmas time.

This Blue Christmas service provides a time and place of solace during the often frenetic days surrounding the celebration of Christmas. We come together seeking healing and room to share grief, sadness, loneliness, or confusion when these emotions often feel out of place during the holidays.

If you are struggling this season, please join us. All are welcome!

We are holding a special Blue Christmas service on Wed, Dec 17th @ 6pm. This service is for anyone carrying grief, missing loved ones, or those who simply find the holiday season heavy. We'll hold space together in a quieter, reverent way and honor both the hope of the season and the very real emotions that can come with it.

You are welcome just as you are!
