A NOTE FROM FATHER JEAN-LUC:

Thank you to the St. Vincent de Paul Society and We Are Friends volunteers for your time and hard work to relocate your outreach ministries to their new locations! I know this was not an easy task, and I am grateful for the many hands that helped us yesterday and today! Thank you all!

Also, I am so very happy that these important ways of serving our community in the Name of Jesus will continue, and possibly expand to assist more souls, in their new locations.

May our Lord prosper the work of our hands for us!

In the Heart of Jesus,
Fr. Jean-Luc

Tonight, we filled St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in joy and gratitude to celebrate 25 years of priestly ordination of our beloved Fr. Jean-Luc Zadroga. ⛪ What a gift to witness a quarter-century of faithful service to Christ's Church.
Over these two years that Father Jean-Luc has been at St. John, he has shepherded us with a holy pastor's heart—drawing us deeper into the worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, ✝️ strengthening our devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, 🙏 and rekindling in us a living love of the Sacraments, especially the Holy Eucharist, the source and center of our faith. 🙌
His witness to the priesthood—his fidelity, his joy, his love for souls—reminds us of the radical beauty of a life given entirely to Christ and His Church. He has shown us, through his ministry, what it truly means to serve the Lord with generosity and grace.

Fr. Zadroga, thank you. ❤️ Thank you for your priesthood. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for leading us to Christ. May the Lord bless you abundantly and grant you many more years of fruitful ministry in service of Christ’s Kingdom.

🎉 God bless you, Fr. Jean-Luc! 🎉

🎉✝️ Happy 25th Ordination Anniversary, Father Jean-Luc! ✝️🎉

Twenty-five years ago, Father Jean-Luc Zadroga said “yes" to God's call — and the Church has been blessed for it ever since.

We at St. John the Evangelist are deeply grateful that God's providence brought Father to us two years ago. His faithful priesthood has led us in holy worship of our Triune God, nourished our love for Our Lady, and shepherded our parish family with devotion and care.

Father Jean-Luc, we thank God for your fiat — your "yes" — and we pray for many more fruitful years of priestly service!

🔥 COME, HOLY SPIRIT! 🕊️

Two thousand years ago, the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the first disciples gathered in Jerusalem — and nothing has ever been the same since.

A sound like a mighty wind filled the house, tongues as of fire rested on each of them, and filled with the Holy Spirit, they began to speak in different languages, proclaiming the mighty works of God.

Jesus did not leave His disciples to carry out the Gospel by their own strength — He sent the Holy Spirit to guide, sanctify, strengthen, and unite them. That same Spirit is alive and at work in His Church today!

This Sunday, the Catholic Church celebrates Pentecost as one of the great Solemnities of the entire liturgical year. Don't miss it.

🙏 Join us for Holy Mass this Pentecost weekend at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church!

📅 Saturday: 5:00 PM
📅 Sunday: 8:00 AM | 10:00 AM

Whether you're a lifelong Catholic, returning to the faith, or simply searching — the doors are open, and you are welcome. Come receive the Fire that changes hearts and transforms lives.

“Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of the faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Your love.” ❤️‍🔥

🙌 This weekend, we celebrate the Ascension of our Lord — and what a glorious mystery we celebrate!

The Feast of the Ascension celebrates Jesus' return to heaven forty days after Easter. After His Resurrection, Jesus instructed His disciples to wait in Jerusalem before He ascended into Heaven. It is the moment when our Lord — Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity — triumphantly entered into the glory of the Father, taking our humanity with Him.

As our Catechism beautifully teaches, the Ascension "marks the definitive entrance of Jesus' humanity into God's heavenly domain, whence He will come again."

The Ascension is the turning point between the Resurrection and the Church's manifestation to the world on Pentecost Sunday. It is not a farewell — it is a *promise*. He who ascended will return, and where the Head has gone, the Body is called to follow. 🕊️

📅 A note for our U.S. Catholics:**
The Feast of the Ascension is traditionally celebrated on Ascension Thursday, the 40th day after Easter. However, many places in the world — including most of the dioceses in the United States — transfer the feast to the following Sunday. Ascension Thursday is May 14, 2026, but most United States dioceses will celebrate the feast of the Ascension this weekend.

The Solemnity of the Ascension is a Holy Day of Obligation, so don't miss Mass this weekend! Let this feast fill your heart with hope — heaven is not far. It is where we are headed. ✝️

“Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking at the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go." — Acts 1:11

🕊️ Today we remember the first apparition of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13, 1917, when the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal. 🌹

Her message was simple yet powerful: pray the Rosary every day, turn back to God, and pray for peace in the world. 📿

May her call to prayer, repentance, and trust in Jesus continue to inspire our hearts and strengthen our faith. ✝️🙏

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. 💙

🌹✝️ Praying for Life — Every 2nd & 4th Monday at 7 PM ✝️🌹

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you." — Jeremiah 1:5

Pictured here are members of our Knights of Columbus Council 2299 and parishioners of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church gathered at our Marian Grotto to pray the Rosary for the unborn.

Why? Because every life from conception until natural death is sacred — and Heaven has defended it before!

When Our Lady appeared to St. Juan Diego in South America in 1531, the Aztec world was drowning in human sacrifice — over 50,000 lives taken annually. Her apparition as an expectant mother at Tepeyac sparked the conversion of 6 million souls in just seven years, bringing an entire civilization out of the shadow of death. Child sacrifice ended. Our Lady of Guadalupe — Patroness of the Unborn — had intervened!

The culture of death is still with us. The victims are still the innocent and voiceless. So we do what God's people have always done — we pray. And so can you!

📅 Join us every 2nd & 4th Monday at 7:00 PM
📍 Marian Grotto (nice weather) or our Chapel — St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Logan, Ohio.

All parishioners and the entire Logan community are welcome. You don't need to be Catholic — you only need a heart that believes every child — every life! — matters.

Our Lady of Guadalupe — pray for us! 🌹

PS - If Our Lady once turned an entire continent away from child sacrifice and towards her son Jesus, what might she do when her children cry out to her today?

Happy Mother's Day! 🌸

Today we celebrate one of the most sacred gifts God has placed in this world — the gift of a mother.

The vocation of motherhood is holy and irreplaceable. Every sleepless night, every quiet prayer, every tender word — it all matters eternally. Mothers so often make profound sacrifices, and the world is immeasurably better for it.

What better model of motherhood than Our Blessed Mother Mary? Her "yes" to God at the Annunciation changed the course of human history, and her love has never stopped. Jesus gave her to all of us from the Cross — she is not just His Mother, she is our Mother too!, interceding for us before the throne of God every single day.

To every mother, grandmother, godmother, and every woman who has poured herself out in love — THANK YOU! Your vocation is sacred, your love reflects the heart of God, and your "yes" echoes into eternity. 💛

May Our Lady wrap each of you in her mantle today and always. 🌹
