While praying for my daughter, who just attended her paternal grandmothers funeral, I began to pray for her and the family to be comforted with the peace of God. Death separates us from our loved ones, and it is a part of this life we all despise. The bible talks about a great gulf being fixed so that you can no longer see, touch or feel with your physical hands anymore. When we are young we think we have forever, but tomorrow Is not promised to any of us. But the promise Is in his Word.
Romans 8:38
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We can take heart and hope that the separation that we have with our loved ones, is united In God. We have hope In him, peace In him, and he loves our loved ones that have passed on way more than we ever loved them. Once they see the face of God, all the harsh things In this life disappear and we can know that they are in peace and loved the way they should have been while they were here. I love the promises of God!
