After 16 years of marriage, here are a few marriage hacks we’ve learned:

• Don’t let disagreement turn into disconnection. Agreement won’t always be unconditional, but love can be.

• Schedule intimacy and romance because what matters deserves a place on the calendar.

• Pursue biblical love: “God, help me see my spouse the way You see them.” Believe the best. Hope for the best. Keep choosing each other.

Sometimes we’re asking God to get us out of ditches that daily dependence on Him could’ve helped us avoid.

We don’t have to wait until we’re desperate to seek Him. We can make Him our daily portion. He doesn’t just rescue us. He can also keep us 🕊️

It’s not just about the Word we hear, but the condition of our heart when the Word arrives. We can highlight our Bibles and still avoid letting the Bible highlight our hearts. The hardest work is often the heart work allowing God to deal with what’s beneath the surface so His Word can take root. Healthy soil produces healthy fruit.
