As many of you are aware there has been, is and may very well be turmoil in our country for some time.
Today in Washington D.C. many persons gathered, some for peaceful protest and others that were more mob like in their actions (some are calling those persons anarchist).
Whatever you call the people that “invaded”, as many have described the action, the US Senate & House chambers, is surreal and a challenge to what we in America have long held as a peaceful democracy. When protests turn violent or invade sacred space, no matter the cause, sadness overwhelms me. Enough of this darkness. We, citizens of the Kingdom of God and these United States, were made for better things. Let's learn to walk in the Light, together (1 John 1:6-7).
God save us and these United States of America!
“If we claim that we experience a shared life with Him and continue to stumble around in the dark, we’re obviously lying through our teeth—we’re not living what we claim. But if we walk in the Light, God Himself being the Light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purges all our sin.”
