Dear Meadow Creek Family and friends, I would like to share a message from our dear Pastor regarding resuming services at Meadow Creek.

From Elder Eddie Fowler - 21 MAY

I am thankful for the Kingdom of God!! It was such a wonderful blessing to meet and worship in the meeting house yesterday even though it was for Sister Janet’s passing.

I thought I would share my entry for today.

Hope you all are able to pen down your own blessings, we are such a blessed people to worship in spirit and in truth. Singing, praying, and preaching inside the walls of MCPBC. I know that the building is not the church but at Meadow Creek it seems to be very special. Sister Janet will be greatly missed but she is really resting with the King.

This Sunday the deacons are opening the doors of MCPBC for worship.

I was glad when they said unto me let us go into the house of the Lord, Psalms 122:1. It has been a while since the pandemic spread and we have been able to come together in person to praise the King. Although we are opening the doors for worship service this does not mean that the virus is cured or that we are free from catching this dreaded disease. It is easily spread and can be fatal. That being said we plan to exercise extreme caution.

We will practice social distancing, the deacons have designated specific pews for our seating safety, so families may sit together but others will be spread out. Once you enter the sanctuary the deacons will assist you to a seat so we may worship as safely as we can. Although the church will not distribute masks we encourage any one that feels they should wear one for their own safety or the safety of others to do so. Please remember to use hand sanitizer as needed. Also visiting with others should be limited to outside while maintaining our safe distance and sorry to say we will not have lunch or engage in our handshake.

And just like we have always observed common sense health guidelines like

‘staying away’ if you’re just not feeling good or running a fever it would be silly and unsafe not to practice that guideline now.

But rule number one is the same. Be in prayer for the service, that although a lot of changes are going on, the Spirit will be great, it will be felt like a mighty rushing wind lifting us all up that we may rejoice in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Continue in faith and pray for wisdom. I love you all and pray for your safety everyday.

I look forward to meeting with you soon.

In hope,

Brother Eddie

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Lord willing, we plan to meet at Meadow Creek Church Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. for an outdoor service at the gazebo. We will have chairs set out for those who wish to use them, or you may stay in your vehicle and listen with your radio. The FM station number will be provided before the meeting starts.

We will not have a handshake or lunch afterwards. Your pastor and deacons are concerned about the health and safety of our members, and we encourage you practice the social distancing recommendations of our elected officials.

We will also attempt to broadcast the service on Zoom for those who are not comfortable meeting in person or are unable to attend. If you would like to join the Zoom meeting and do not have the link, please send us a message and we will be happy to share it.

Please pray that the Lord will bless this meeting and bless each of you.

Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church will NOT meet this Sunday, March 22, or next Sunday, March 29, in keeping with recommendations by the CDC and local and state officials.

We have shared some resources on our website home page (link below) and encourage you to incorporate these into your worship at home. We will miss gathering together as a church family during this time but trust that this is best for our members and our community at large.

We pray for all those affected by COVID-19 and are committed to doing what we can to limit its impact. We will continue to monitor the situation and release updates about our future meeting times as those decisions are made.
