Worship - 9:30 AM Central Time

12/07/2020

Great to be able to participate in a worship service with Lay Leaders and Advent Readers as well as the musicians. With a little planning ( even w/o the internet) we can get our hearts desire and our citizenship practiced at the same time.

Thank you to our forefathers who believed in the God of Abraham called Yahweh. It was their foresight which allows us to worship freely in America today

Thank you church officers for your desire to make the church effective and responsible to both the community, government and denomination all at the same time. You are doing a great balancing act!

To God Be the GLORY!

Did you Worship on the hill at Locust Hill last Sunday? Why not share the experience? In these Covid days does auto worship help? Is it good to see the people even with the restrictions? How do you feel after participating without seeing the worship team? Does it help as you pray and share with friends that we are able to actively do an Advent program? Grab a cup of coffee or a soda, sit down with your device and share as if you were having a chat with your friends of your faith family. This is where you can do it and fellowship as if you were free and maskless.

I am THANKFUL that as we struggle through this season of outdoor church, limited visitations/memorials for friends, super careful shopping trips and little vacation travel to see family, (because we are all older now), I can bow my head and Thank God for the history of my country. I am grateful as we celebrate differently we still have tons of things to celebrate.
As advent begins this most precious time of year reminds us of the love and constancy of the God of the Christians. God Bless your day!

“It is always right to protest for right,” Martin Luther King said.
However, protesting for right doesn’t mean we replace one violent act for another. Violence is a vicious cycle that leaves only victims. Again, we cannot allow our protesting for right to simply become another face of the wrong or injustice we’re protesting. We cannot live by trading one form of bitterness and violence for another. Hatred, vitriolic words, chants or slogans are never the answer. Hatred, violence and injustice are cycles that feed on each other. King also said, “Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that,”
These are the words of Bishop Fairley KYUMC.

Bible Study Tonight Westview Parking Lot. Bring your own Lawn chair or sterile folding chairs will be available. Social Distancing will be practiced but love for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ will be practiced in the purity and power of the Holy Spirit.

Remember the church supports love and mercy with fellowship, and charity.........not destruction and robbery and physical abuse of those we don't even know their personal opinions.

05/30/2020

A personal opinion:

A person who steals is a thief:
A Person who lights somebody else's property on fire is an arsonist;
A person who causes bodily injury to another is guilty of assault;
A person who sexually assaults another person is called a ra**st,
A person who uses inflamed rhetoric is guilty of verbal assault and abuse,
A person who doesn't intervene to save the life of another is called a coward,
A person who causes another person to die by their actions is guilty of murder,

These definitions all apply to each person and why they commit these crimes does not make them less of a thief and arsonist or even less a murderer.
The person who commits a crime is guilty of that crime and the reason they chose to become a criminal is not even relevant to a civilized discussion. Whenever violence is inserted as an answer to a violent action both sides are criminals.
