Many years to Fr. Alexander and Subdeacon Alex on their nameday! A HUGE thank you to the men of the St. Demetrios Brotherhood for providing an incredible meal to the parish in support of their work with the ministries at Sts. Peter and Paul in Detroit. Our choir had the opportunity to do a workshop with Matushka Victoria Kopsitiansky today! They worked on lots of technique to improve tone and blending. Then Matushka did us the honor of conducting a beautiful Vespers service. Following that, the choir enjoyed a lovely meal and wished long time members, Gretchen and Phil, happy birthday and many years! Thanks to Matushka Vicky for teaching and conducting, Subdeacon Alex for coordinating the event, and Sharon Andersen for facilitating a great meal!

Thank you to everyone who came to help us celebrate our patronal feast, the Feast of the Transfiguration! We are grateful to all the visiting clergy and local faithful, as well as to those who sang, those who arranged flowers, those who lovingly prepared food, and those who offered hospitality and kindness to our guests.

Some recent happenings:

- The kids got picked up from camp and we venerated the relics of St. Raphael before we hit the road.
- Adam Forman, Curt Stinson, Justin Black, and Dan Haller started re-assembling the scaffolding so the last icon can be completed in August!
- Our campers had the opportunity to share about their camp experiences after Sunday liturgy.
- Subdeacon Alex Matsko gave a talk to the brotherhood about growing up at HTOC and the impact of Orthodoxy on his life.
