As this school year comes to a close, we give thanks to God for three beloved members of our St. Michael family who are entering retirement. Their service has been a true witness to faith, joy, and dedication in Catholic education.

Mrs. Sykes — After 28 years in education, including 23 at St. Michael’s, she has formed the hearts of our youngest learners with gentleness, creativity, and a love for God. Along with the rest of the Kindergarten team, she strove to deliver the best programs and events to make the Kindergarten year memorable. Her leadership as Extended Day Director and her deep roots in our community have been a blessing to generations of Gaels.

Mrs. Castelli — With 20 years of teaching, seven with us, she has guided our 6th graders with wisdom, compassion, and a Christ‑centered spirit. We are thankful for her Taco Truck display competition and for surprising our school with her memorable dance mobs! Mrs. Castelli's classroom has been a place where faith and learning grow side by side.

Mrs. Lucy Boyer — A steady and faithful presence behind the scenes, Mrs. Boyer has strengthened our school through her expertise and servant‑hearted support. Her work has empowered teachers and students to learn, create, and thrive. From assembling all students' report cards, securing our campus, and making sure our students had the best technology as resources, she gave us her all! As Monsignor said it best, "We are not sure if our computers can survive without her!"

We thank God for the gift of their vocation, their witness, and the countless lives they have touched. May the Lord bless them abundantly in this next chapter. Remember, you are always welcome back to your home away from home!

Once a Gael, always a Gael. 💙💛

Our 5th graders crushed this year’s JetToy Competition, brought by SAE International A World in Motion! After weeks of designing and testing their engineering skills with balloon‑powered vehicles (even during recess!), teams raced in Distance, Time, Accuracy, and Weight Carrying. Parents packed the gym to cheer them on, and the results were impressive. Huge thanks to Mrs. Jraiche, Mrs. Forrest, our 7th‑grade volunteers, and especially Mrs. Skubik for making this a core memory every year! We appreciate our teachers blending teaching, hands-on experiences, and creative fun!

And the tears don't stop! We welcomed back the SMA Class of 2022 for the annual Graduating Gaels Photo!.

We are beyond proud of all their accomplishments and accolades. May God continue to bless our Gaels in their next chapter!

The SMA Class of 2022 returned today in their caps and gowns for one final photo before heading to college! They toured the school, reconnected with teachers, and even bumped into some siblings along the way.

We’re so proud of them and pray for their continued success as they take on the world. We cannot wait to honor them along with other graduates in our SMA community at our Baccalaureate Mass on Sunday, June 7 at noon.

Congratulations to Our St. Michael 8th Grade Graduates!

What a beautiful and grace‑filled evening we shared as our 8th Grade Class of 2026 celebrated their graduation. Monsignor led us in a joyful Mass, offering a powerful homily on the formation of faith and character these students have received over the past 9–10 years. He reminded them that the seeds planted here, prayer, virtue, friendship, and love of Christ, will continue to guide them long after they leave our halls.

We were proud to honor students for their achievements in academics, leadership, service, and extracurricular involvement. A special congratulations to our Valedictorian, George Smiley, and Salutatorian, Rylan Bloun, for their outstanding dedication and hard work. Plus, they led such incredible speeches of gratitude and inspiration.

We also celebrated two of our most cherished awards:
✨ The Fr. McMahon Award: presented to Quinn Schoch and Jordan Janda, students who have participated in three or more St. Michael team sports, maintain strong academics, show a consistently positive attitude, and are active parishioners.

✨ The Stephen Sylvester Shining Light Award: awarded to Julien Zambo for being a shining example of faith, diligence in studies, and kindness within our school and community.

The ceremony closed with one of the night's most touching moments: our graduates surprised their parents with a heartfelt poem, then rose to give them a standing ovation. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room, even bringing Monsignor teary eyes.

It was a night filled with gratitude and the unmistakable presence of the Holy Spirit. We are so proud of our Gaels and cannot wait to see how God continues to work through them.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! May St. Michael protect you through the rest of your life.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, on your own intelligence do not rely; In all your ways be mindful of him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3: 5-6

Congratulations to our 8th‑grade graduates!
We thank God for guiding you, strengthening you, and shaping you into the young leaders you are today. As you step into high school, may you continue to walk in His purpose, trust His plan, and shine His light wherever you go.

It’s been a wonderfully busy 24 hours here at St. Michael’s!

Yesterday, our Preschoolers celebrated their big milestone as they slid into Kindergarten during their adorable Preschool Graduation. Their excitement was contagious, and we can’t wait to welcome them as our newest Kindergarteners in the fall.

We also gathered for our final K–8 Mass of the school year, where our 8th graders took part in the cherished tradition of passing the torch to our 7th graders as they prepare to become next year’s school leaders. Monsignor offered a beautiful blessing over our 8th graders and blessed the special leadership pins presented to our 7th graders. A meaningful moment marking their new role in our school community. We clapped out the 8th graders from their last Mass.

After Mass, Kindergarten enjoyed a special Pancake Buddy Breakfast with their 8th‑grade buddies and spent time playing together in the Kindergarten classrooms. A sweet tradition that always brings out the inner small kid from our soon to be alum!

Next week, we look forward to celebrating our 8th graders once more as they enjoy their last day and officially graduate. What a beautiful season of growth and new beginnings for our entire school community.

We wish our Little Gaels the best summer and we cannot wait to see you in the fall!

SMA Spring Concert Magic!

Our 1st–6th graders filled the gym with music and spring beats! Grades 1–6 showcased their beautiful vocals and dance moves under the direction of Mr. Doyle and Mrs. G, filling the room with songs that made every parent smile.

The 5th- and 6th-grade band wowed the crowd with their growing musical talent, led by Mr. Blaszkiewicz. Their hard work and practice truly shined on stage.

Thank you to our art teacher, Mrs. G. The gym was transformed by stunning student artwork, making the whole event feel extra special.

Bravo to our students and teachers for a beautiful afternoon of music and art! 💛💙
