💙 Men's Health & Mental Health Month 💚
June is a reminder that taking care of your physical and mental health matters.
A few important reminders:
💙 Physical Health Matters
Men are often less likely to schedule routine doctor visits. Annual checkups and recommended screenings can help identify concerns early and support overall health and wellness.
💚 Mental Health Matters
Too Many men feel pressure to always appear strong, independent, or in control. These expectations can make it difficult to talk about struggles or ask for help. Anxiety, depression, stress, grief, burnout, and other mental health challenges are more common than many realize—and support is available.
Men need to know it's okay:
• To have bad days
• To talk about feelings
• To cry • To feel vulnerable
• To not have all the answers
• To seek counseling or therapy
• To ask for help
• To lean on friends, family, or faith communities
• To take care of their mental health just as they would their physical health
Strength isn't found in carrying everything alone. Sometimes the strongest thing a person can do is speak up, reach out, and let others walk alongside them.
You don't have to walk through life's challenges alone. If you would like to connect with a Stephen Minister, please contact Lorraine Paffenroth at [email protected].
