Last night at dinner church 30 of us gathered to ponder how God wove Godself into the fabric of the universe, into each of us, and into the beloved community we create together.
It was fun to watch people become engrossed in our interactive activity (we did some simple weaving), and I loved spending time with Evie, Izzy, and Abby while we got everything ready.
Another special thing about last night - one table had four generations seated together! Irene, Melanie, Samantha, and Teddy all worshiped together!
At bedtime I asked Milo what his favorite part of the day was and he said, “being at church.” What was his worst part? “Leaving church.” That’s enough to make it all worth it to me. ❤️ -Pastor Alysa

More great news! While Summer Serve connected us with our neighbors here in Livonia and up in Pontiac, improvement work was completed on the sidewalk outside our main entrance. We're grateful for the improved drainage and safety made possible by your generosity.

Regular access has now been restored to the building, so come on in through the main entrance when we gather for worship this Sunday!

This week as we gather for Summer Serve, just a note that building access will be modified due to work being done on the sidewalk and drainage system outside the main entrance.

Please enter via Door 8 (through the memorial garden on the Five Mile side of the building) or Door 11 (on the west side of the building near the Italian-American Club).

We anticipate that work will be done well before Sunday, but will keep you informed as the week continues.

This picture of the water fountain in the Welcome Center is evidence of good news:

The leak has been repaired and water service has been restored to Holy Trinity! Even better, none of the paved surfaces around the building were affected by the repair work!

All the water lines in the church have been flushed, and normal activity can resume tomorrow.

A special thank you to our Trustees for seeing this work through to its conclusion and preparing the building for reopening, and to all of you for your understanding this past weekend.

Crews are hard at work this morning repairing the leak that forced water service to be shut off to Holy Trinity.

We will continue to update you as the work continues.

Pray for a quick resolution so that we can get back to focusing on the important work of making God's love real here at Holy Trinity!

Dear people of Holy Trinity,

On Friday, August 7, 2026, the City of Livonia contacted Holy Trinity with concerns that the leak near the hydrant at the northwest corner of our building had intensified, causing more substantial erosion around the hydrant. We were advised that continued erosion could threaten the hydrant itself, which would cause more damage and incur a greater repair cost.

In response, the Holy Trinity Board made the decision to authorize the City of Livonia to shut off water to the building, pending repairs to the service line. We will begin those repairs as soon as possible.

As a result of the lack of water in the building, in-person worship will not be held at Holy Trinity on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Worship will be live streamed on our Youtube channel at 10 a.m. as usual. You can access the live stream through this link.

Further communication regarding use of the facility and the status of the repairs will be sent out as it becomes available.

And even as he grieves the loss of his beloved cousin, he welcomes thousands to a banquet of life where God’s extravagant abundance of compassion is poured out and people are healed and fed, body and soul.
