Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Church invites all parishioners to join us for a Church Cleaning Day on Saturday, June 13th at 11:00 AM.

As we prepare for our upcoming parish celebrations, we need helping hands to clean the church, parish hall, and surrounding grounds. No special skills are required—just a willing heart and a desire to help our parish community.

Date: Saturday, June 13
Time: 11:00 AM
Location: Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Church

Many hands make light work! Whether you can stay for an hour or longer, your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for helping us keep our church beautiful and welcoming for all.

"Let all things be done for the glory of God."

We look forward to seeing you there!

As we continue the Apostle’s Fast (from Vespers on May 31–June 29), the Church invites us to deepen our spiritual preparation for the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul. These great apostles, Peter, the steadfast “rock,” and Paul, the tireless missionary, remain powerful witnesses of faith, conversion, and perseverance in proclaiming the Gospel.

This fasting season is more than a discipline; it is an opportunity to grow closer to Christ through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Following the tradition of the Church, many observe a stricter fast on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while also making time for Confession as part of this period of renewal.

As we move through this sacred time, may we be inspired by Saints Peter and Paul to respond generously to Christ’s call, strengthening our faith and witnessing to His truth in our daily lives.

Popular items that sell well:
Books, bicycles, puzzles and board games, movies and video games, tools, kitchen gadgets and appliances, sports equipment, garden tools, small items of furniture (nothing large, please), office supplies, purses and jewelry. No clothing or shoes, please.

Donations may be dropped off on Sundays, after the Divine Liturgy, or by appointment.

The Apostle's Fast, observed from May 31 to June 29, is a time of reflection and preparation leading to the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul (June 29). These great apostles spread the Gospel with unwavering faith—Peter, the "rock" of the Church, and Paul, a former persecutor turned devoted evangelist. Their legacy calls us to deeper prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, strengthening our faith as we embrace their teachings.

This month’s ByziKids insert features “A Prayerful Walk through the Apostles Fast 2026,” a beautifully illustrated guide that leads families through the fast. Each step along the path highlights a specific intention—inviting children to pray for bishops, priests, monastics, parents, missionaries, and all who serve the Church.

Traditionally, a strict fast is observed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays of this fast. Confession is also customary, as all fasting periods serve to spiritually prepare us for the Feast. May this season inspire us to follow in the footsteps of these holy apostles! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CEOxA5ieLJtontKj98fwpUj__8tXQkKn/view
