First Presbyterian Church of Livingston

First Presbyterian Church of Livingston We believe in the one Church, Christ’s body in every time and place; the good news of grace that God forgives sin as we accept the work of Jesus.

WHO ARE PRESBYTERIANS? We are folks who follow Jesus Christ, celebrating God’s grace and His sovereignty over the whole world. Many of us grew up in other churches, including Episcopal, Baptist, Pentecostal, Lutheran, and Catholic. We come from many states, countries and backgrounds. We believe we are called to "worship and enjoy God forever," to "do all things decently and in order," and to conti

nually "be re-formed according to the Word of God." We take care of each other and grow together in faith and knowledge of God's word. We tend to be tolerant while seeking to be obedient. We bring God’s justice and mercy into our community. We share God’s Good News, without pressure, in a variety of ways. Our congregation elects and ordains pastors and elders to lead us. We gather elders and pastors from all the churches to form presbyteries for mutual support and cooperative governance. We actively seek community with all Christian churches.

He didn’t wait for Peter to come back… He went to him. Right into the place of failure. Right into the place of regret. Right into the place where shame tried to settle in. Because Jesus doesn’t walk away from our brokenness... He meets us there and begins again. “The Lord has risen… and has appeared to Simon.” — Luke 24:34 🙌

If you’ve been carrying the weight of yesterday, remember... He still seeks, still restores, still calls you forward. If you need a quiet place to begin again, our daily devotionals and peaceful worship playlists are here to help you stay anchored in His presence. Link on our page. 🙏

Where is God inviting you into restoration today?

You may feel overlooked. You may feel not enough. You may feel invisible. But none of that changes the truth. You are important. You are deeply loved. And your life matters more than you realize. 😇
If you needed this reminder today, take a deep breath and receive it.

Some mornings don’t ask for big answers, just a gentle choice. A quiet yes to joy, even when it feels tender. A steady yes to hope, even when the way forward isn’t clear. A soft surrender of fear, resting instead in the presence of Jesus. 🙏
