"So again Jesus said to them, 'Very truly, I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.
All who came before me are thieves and bandits, but the sheep did not listen to them.
I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.'"
📖 John 10:7-10

Jesus represents the way to abundant life. Earlier in this chapter, Jesus said we would know his voice and he would call us by name.

🤔 When have you gotten a sense Jesus was calling your name? Where or when do you give space to listen to the voice of Jesus?

Maundy Thursday Service at American Lutheran Church 7:00 PM

On Maundy Thursday, we remember Christ's last meal with his disciples, but the central focus is his commandment that we love one another as he loves us.

"The Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, 'This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.'

In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me! For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes" (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
