Holy Cross has two opportunities to worship during Holy Week.

Our Good Friday service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 3.

Our traditional sunrise Easter Service will be at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 5. All are welcome to join us as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord through worship, song and communion. Breakfast will be served in the church hall following the service.

We love to see familiar faces, and make new friends!

We are saddened by the loss of our longtime shepherd, the Rev. Dr. Maurice Alms, but rejoice that he is now in his heavenly home. Pastor Alms was the longest serving minister in the history of Holy Cross, and devoted more than 25 years to our congregation. Among many other qualities, he is remembered for his gentleness, kindness, humbleness, genuine concern for every person he met, and deep abiding faith.

Holy Cross will host a visitation for Pastor Alms from 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 30. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 31 at Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in Soulard, St. Louis.

Celebrate the life of Rev. Dr. Maurice Alms and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.

We were excited to have Christina, the mother of our seminary student Christian Kozak, join us for worship this morning. She traveled from the state of New York to visit her son and see him in action at Holy Cross. Thanks for joining us, and have a safe return trip home.

And doesn’t Christian look nice in his new robes! Holy Cross is proud to play an important role in the formative ministries of Concordia Seminary students like Christian and many others through the years. Your robes will a reminder for years to come of your dedication to our congregation.

It is potluck time once again! Please join us Sunday, September 21 as we give the official Holy Cross welcome to our new Seminary student Christian Kozak. All are welcome for great food and fellowship!

We will also be collecting money at a door offering that day to assist Christian with purchasing his robes. We hope you can join us!
