This morning, as I set the flowers upon the pulpit table, the words of Ruth 1:16–18 rose and lingered in my thoughts. I turned the pages to the first chapter of Ruth and read them once more.

There, in the quiet of that moment, the passage whispered of a faith that clings, commits, and follows—whatever the cost—trusting that God is faithful to weave His purposes through such steadfast devotion.

We are super excited to invite all (completed) Kinder through 5th graders to our 3-day Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church of Providence this summer! Your kids will take an epic journey to discover God's Kingdom during their time with us! We hope everyone (including families) will join us....

Bring your kids to church, even if it looks like this.

One day she’ll sit quietly through the entire service.

One day she won’t need snacks, coloring books, or to be carried out halfway through.

One day she’ll be grown.

I’d rather have a child who grew up in church than a child who only started attending once she was old enough to act like an adult.

If that means some Sundays look messy, then they look messy.

If your toddler spends more time under the church chairs than in the church chair… you’re probably doing just fine. 😂

Keep bringing them.

They may wiggle, crawl under chairs, drop snacks, ask questions at the wrong time, or need to be carried out more than once. But they are learning something important: that church is where we gather, worship, and belong ❤️
