We are proud to celebrate Safe Environment Week with the Diocese of Syracuse this week! Thank you to all of our clergy, employees, and volunteers who help to create a safe environment for our children and vulnerable adults!
Safe Environment Week highlights the unwavering commitment of our clergy, religious order members, diocesan employees, volunteers, and community members to safeguard our most vulnerable. Through their combined efforts, they build supportive networks that raise awareness about child sexual abuse prevention, empower children, youth, and vulnerable adults, and promote collective responsibility for safety and well-being within our parishes, schools, agencies, and broader communities.
On behalf of Most Rev. Douglas J. Lucia, the Office of Safe Environment, and the Diocesan Safe Environment Committee, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the thousands of individuals across the diocese who are dedicated to protecting children, young people, and vulnerable adults from abuse.
