“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ”(Galatians 1:10).

It’s a grievous error when those who hold leadership positions in the church are man pleasers and thereby yield to the carnal preferences of people who look to them for guidance. Man pleasing is a desire to build one’s own kingdom and is rooted in pride. Regardless of their particular ministry, church leaders are to show people the way of the cross in their words and deeds. Catering to carnal preferences is doing the opposite and only serves to strengthen the fallen nature in themselves and those they are influencing.

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not”(2 Peter 2:1-3).

There are some professing Christians who’ve come to know that God has called us to live a holy, righteous life and they want it, but continue to have no progress in holiness, no real peace in their soul, and have realized something must be wrong, or missing, although they have received a substantial amount of Bible teaching, spent numerous hours in Bible study, and exerted a lot of effort to apply all they’ve learned.

A priority is something that merits attention before competing alternatives.

There are, without question, day-to-day necessities that must have precedence in a person’s list of responsibilities. However, pride has highly deceived a soul who believes that their own reasoning is capable of prioritizing things correctly. This is so because man’s reasoning was severely corrupted by the fall of Adam, in that the intellect and way of thinking (mindset) became enslaved to the influences of pride, lust, envy and wrath.

These properties of spiritual darkness govern every process of the fallen soul and make it void of any capacity to work correctly without the influence of God acting upon it. Therefore, we should really only have one priority - making place for the Love of God, the Light of God, and the Spirit of God to generate, illuminate, and inspire our way of thinking, all we allow, all we consent to, all we say and all we do.

Then, and only then, all the other responsibilities, duties and necessities of life will be carried out correctly and in the order of importance that will secure the greatest good.

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”(John 4:24).

Exercising faith in God and giving place for one’s life to be solely generated by the Divine nature is one and the same as worshiping the Father in spirit and in truth. Anything short of this is a counterfeit.

Saw a post saying that those who see it and believe it should get ready because God is fixing to open the heavens and bless them with success and prosperity as never before.

There's no doubt that most would quickly relate the success and prosperity to fleshly, worldly gain.

First; Heaven has always been opened to man because man has always had the privilege of yielding his will and walking in obedience to God. He has never been anything but a will to all goodness toward man and therefore it is the heart of man that must be opened to God.

Second; The best and highest blessing that God can bestow upon man has already been sent from Heaven. The life, sufferings, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus has provided all that’s necessary for our restoration to man’s original, right state of being.

Third; It would be inconsistent with Divine Love and therefore impossible for God to gratify the desires of any individual who is not dying daily to their own pride, lust, envy and love for this world. It is so because feeding fleshly, worldly desires provides strength and growth to the fallen nature, which is the single source of all wrath in the soul of man and is the very nature we must be delivered from if our soul is to ever experience the peace and blessing of the Heavenly Life.

No one will ever find God or partake of the Heavenly Life so long as their heart is set upon self-will, self-exaltation, self-preservation, self-gratification and things of this world.

So, the success and prosperity we should seek and expect from God is that of being conformed to the image of Jesus by having the Fire, Light, and Spirit of God conceived, brought to birth, grow and mature in our inward man to produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our daily life. This is our greatest good and nothing is of any real benefit without it.

Gospel salvation demands that the desire of our heart is fully turned to God and away from our fallen nature of pride, lust, envy and wrath. Otherwise, there is no place for the Divine nature to be conceived, brought to birth, grow in our inward man, and subsequently bear fruit in our outward life.

Professing Christians who reject this Truth can only be doing so because they don’t really believe the Bible or they love self and their worldly life instead of loving God. So, they ignore or oppose the doctrines of God’s righteousness and seek to establish their own righteousness through doctrines of men and religious activities.

Everyone, regardless of what they claim to believe, who rejects the Love of the Truth to be freed from the sin nature and regenerated with the Divine nature to now walk as Jesus walked, will experience the everlasting torment of their own unsatisfied desire where their worm never dies and their fire is never quenched.

God, by His Divine Providence, is always orchestrating or allowing whatever is necessary to secure the greatest good. Everything we choose to say and do that is not generated by the Divine nature and brought forth by the Spirit of God is serving the powers of darkness, which makes us an enemy of God who is not serving His good purposes.

All unrighteousness is rooted in the properties of spiritual darkness which are pride, lust, envy and wrath. These properties are literally where the devil, the fallen angels, and all lost souls live and move and have their being. Nothing that has its birth and life in them can possibly have any goodness in it.

Self-less love, meekness, long-suffering and total resignation to God are the spiritual properties of Heavenly Light. They are the very nature and essence of Jesus and components of the Divine nature. The Light is where all Heavenly beings live and move and have their being. True righteousness, true goodness, and true peace can only have their birth and life within the sphere of these Heavenly properties.

So, the only things we say and do in our day to day life that works with God to secure the greatest good are those being generated and brought forth by self-less Love, meekness, long-suffering, and total resignation to God. Anything else is working with Satan to produce evil, corruption, and death.

In order to follow Jesus along the narrow way to Life, we must refuse to feed our self-serving appetites. They are the root of unrighteousness within us and they are fed by things of this world through carnal reasoning and the natural senses.

Therefore, all the information conveyed to our soul by carnal reasoning and the natural senses must be rejected and replaced by information communicated to it by faith in God. He cannot be found, nor can we be united with Him by the use of the natural faculties, but only by exercising faith in Him, which reaches far above anything the natural faculties can apprehend.
