This Sunday in our Summer Music Series, we turn to a song that has meant a lot to so many people over the years — Place in This World by Michael W. Smith.

At its core, this song captures a question we all wrestle with at different points in life: Where do I fit? What is my place? What is God calling me to do with the life He’s given me?

On this Father’s Day Sunday, we’ll explore that question through the lens of Scripture and the story of Jethro and Moses. In a brief but powerful moment, Jethro steps in with wisdom, encouragement, and guidance that helps Moses carry the weight of leadership in a healthier, more sustainable way.

It’s a reminder that influence isn’t always loud or long-term. Sometimes the most faithful thing someone can do is step in at just the right moment to offer clarity, support, and direction. And in doing so, they help shape someone else’s “place” in the world God has called them to.

This week’s song and this Father’s Day theme come together in a beautiful way — reminding us that God often uses people in our lives to guide us, steady us, and help us see more clearly who we are becoming in Him.

Whether you’re a father, remembering a father, or reflecting on the spiritual influences who have shaped your journey, this Sunday will be meaningful, encouraging, and deeply rooted in God’s Word.

Sunday School begins at 9:45 AM and Worship begins at 11:00 AM both in person and virtually. All are welcome.

This past Sunday was a meaningful one as we wrapped up our Helping Churches Thrive conversations and worshiped through Coming Up to Breathe by MercyMe.

That song, like so many others we’re revisiting this summer, isn’t just music from a certain era — it’s part of a soundtrack that has shaped faith, perspective, and growth over the years. And this one in particular reminded us that thriving is not a straight line. It’s a process. There are seasons of momentum and clarity, but also seasons where we feel stretched, tired, or uncertain. And in those moments, we are reminded that we have to keep coming back to God for renewal.

We don’t thrive by accident. We thrive by staying connected to Christ and keeping our hearts and minds anchored in the mission He’s called us to.

And that’s really what this whole series is about — revisiting songs that shaped my faith journey and discovering how God still uses them to speak into our lives today. These aren’t just nostalgic moments; they are reminders of truth that still holds up, still challenges us, and still draws us closer to Jesus.

As we move into Week 3 of our Summer Music Series, we continue walking through songs that have formed, strengthened, and shaped my faith over the years. Each week builds on the last, and each one gives us another opportunity to reflect, worship, and grow together.

Another week is ahead, another song is coming, and God is not finished with what He’s doing among us.

This Sunday in our Summer Music Series, we’re turning to a powerful song from MercyMe: Coming Up to Breathe.

Life can be exhausting. Ministry can be exhausting. Sometimes we push so hard, carry so much, and face so many ups and downs that we forget to pause, breathe, and remember why we started in the first place.

As we celebrate our final Helping Churches Thrive Sunday, we’ll be reminded that thriving doesn’t happen overnight. It is a process. There are moments of excitement and momentum, but there are also moments of challenge, fatigue, uncertainty, and growth. Through it all, we must continue keeping our hearts, our minds, and our mission focused on where God is leading us.

This week’s song captures that feeling perfectly — the longing to catch your breath, find renewal, and keep moving forward with hope and purpose.

It’s going to be a meaningful Sunday filled with worship, reflection, encouragement, and celebration as we look back on this season together and look ahead to what God still has in store for our church.

Whether you’ve been part of every Helping Churches Thrive conversation or are simply looking for a place to reconnect and worship, this Sunday is for you.

Come ready to breathe deeply.
Come ready to refocus.
Come ready to continue the journey together.

Sunday School begins at 9:45 AM and Worship at 11:00 AM both in person and virtually. All are welcome.

Yesterday we officially kicked off our Summer Music Series, and what a great beginning it was! It was a wonderful time of worship as we examined what it truly means to WAKE UP. What is God trying to get you to open your eyes and see? What might He be calling you to in this season of your life?

It was an incredible start to a summer that we believe is going to be filled with meaningful worship, powerful reminders of God’s truth, and moments that will challenge and encourage us in our faith.

And we’re just getting started.

This summer will continue to bring songs that shaped faith journeys, messages rooted in Scripture, moments of celebration, and opportunities for God to challenge and encourage us in fresh ways. Every week will have its own unique energy and theme, but the goal remains the same: drawing closer to Christ and discovering how timeless truth still speaks into our lives today.

Another powerful Sunday is coming, another unforgettable song is ahead, and we cannot wait to continue this journey together.

This Sunday, we officially kick off our annual Summer Music Series — and we’re starting with a song that may surprise you!

This week’s featured song comes from a lesser-known Christian band called The Swift (and no… not that Swift). While the band may not be as widely known, the message of this song is powerful, energetic, and exactly the way we want to launch this summer together.

The theme this week is simple but challenging: WAKE UP. What does spiritual awakening really look like? What happens when God shakes us out of complacency, routine, and autopilot faith? And what might God want to awaken within us right now?

Expect high energy worship, a fun start to the series, and a message that will challenge and encourage you as we begin this summer journey together.

Whether you love Christian music, enjoy discovering songs you may have missed, or are simply looking for a place to reconnect and grow in your faith, this is a great Sunday to jump in.

Sunday School begins at 9:45 AM and Worship begins at 11:00 AM both in person and virtually.
