Precious Children of Our Heavenly Father,

Due to concerns that we have regarding the health of our fellow guests and members, and for our community, Ascension Lutheran Church is suspending all activities beginning Saturday, March 14 through Tuesday, March 31. Prior to the end of March, we will evaluate the resumption of congregational activities for April.

This means that we will not be worshipping this Sunday, March 15, nor on March 22nd or 29th. Lenten worship on March 18th and 25th are also canceled. No group activities at the church will be held on those days or other days.

I will be keeping office hours, Tuesday through Friday, during these next number of weeks. You may contact me (303.794.4636) if you need some time to visit, for prayer or to receive Holy Communion. If you find yourself in need of some of the basics of life – food or other supplies – please call me at the church office and we will attempt to meet those needs.

Sermons for Sundays and Wednesdays will be available both in typed form and, God willing, video form on our website (www.alutheran.org).

To the best of our ability, we are contacting all of those who join us in worship through this email. If you are aware of individuals who should receive a phone call, please give them a call.

I believe that being part of Ascension Lutheran Church is a call to be part of Christ’s love and mission to this world. May these next number of weeks, as trying as they may be, cause us to know in a greater way the love of Jesus, and to share this love with our neighbors.
