South Fellowship Church

South Fellowship Church We exist to help people live in the way of Jesus with the heart of Jesus. Join us Sundays at 9:00 & 10:45am! https://southfellowship.org/plan-your-visit/

Here’s how:

Environments that feel like coming home. We invite individuals and families to find deep belonging in our faith community. This may look like conversations on Sunday mornings, summer BBQs, sitting around the table, chili cook-offs; being known, and knowing others. Jesus talked about his kingdom as one that welcomed home those far from God. We want to do the same. Experiences that help

people encounter Jesus and take next steps. We desire to be a community that connects people to Jesus. We’re confident that Jesus can meet anyone on any path and transform lives through the work of the Holy Spirit. This may look like joining a small group, Bible study, support group, class, or discovering spiritual gifts; knowing Jesus and growing in him. Our desire isn’t just for a well-planned experience, but rather to create space for encounters with Jesus. A church our city and world would miss if we were gone. We believe Jesus calls us to impact the world around us. South doesn’t exist just for ourselves, but rather to respond to the unique felt needs in our community. This may look like serving in our Food Bank, participating in First Mile Initiative, supporting our local and global ministry partners; loving Littleton and being an outward-facing church. We want to consistently ask the difficult question, “If we were gone tomorrow, would the world notice?”

There’s only so much we can cover in a Sunday morning gathering! Each week, you’re invited to tune into our podcast, “Red Couch Theology – Sermon Conversations with Alex and Aaron.” We record our podcast live every Thursday at 11am. What can you expect? Pastors Alex, Aaron, and the occasional guest have a casual conversation, diving deeper into ideas related to last Sunday’s teaching.

Most of us would probably never pray, “God, don’t give me too much.”

But Proverbs 30 offers a different picture of the good life: “Give me only my daily bread.” It’s an invitation to contentment, dependence, and trusting God for what we need instead of placing our security in what we can accumulate or control.

Where might God be inviting you to loosen your grip and trust Him with what comes next?

How do you measure the health of your spiritual life? We might first think about the things we're doing right or wrong, but Proverbs 29 gives us another question to consider: Do our hearts care about the things God cares about?

God has a deep concern for those who are poor, vulnerable, and in need. As our hearts grow closer to His, that concern should grow in us too. Maybe part of examining our spiritual lives is simply asking: Is my heart becoming more like God's heart?

What does it really mean to fear God? Proverbs 28:14 isn't inviting us to live terrified of Him. It's an invitation to keep our hearts tender, humble, and responsive to Him.

When we know that God sees us, knows us, and loves us, our desire to honor Him can shape the choices we make. A healthy fear of God doesn't push us away from Him. It draws us toward a life of wisdom, trust, and love.

In honor of National Dog Day 🐕😅:

Have you ever found yourself making the same mistake again and again? Proverbs 26 gives us a pretty unforgettable picture of what it looks like when we keep returning to patterns we know aren't leading us toward life.

But we don't have to stay stuck in the same cycle. Ask God to help you recognize the patterns that keep pulling you back and show you a new way forward, replacing old habits with choices that draw you closer to Him.

You may have more influence at work than you realize. Proverbs 25 reminds us that leadership isn't shaped only by the person in charge. The character of the people around them matters too.
