Arkansas Conference Mission u will be July 29 - August 1 at Hendrix College. Mission u is an opportunity for individuals to study current issues impacting society based on recent mission study topics. It is open to both members and non-members of United Women in Faith. Participants can engage in classes covering three themes: spiritual growth, social issues, and geographic studies. Additionally, there are specific studies available for children and youth. The event aims to foster understanding of the mission of the church in the current world context, with particular attention to the responsibilities of women in fulfilling the church’s mission work. Worship, singing, interest groups, audiovisual presentations, and fellowship events are also part of the Mission u experience.

This summer, we’re trying something a little different—and a lot of fun! Join us July 7–9 from 5:30-7:00pm for Vacation Bible Camp, The Story of Moses, in a brand-new evening format designed for the whole family. We’re hosting an interactive dinner theatre experience where children, parents, and grandparents can all gather around the table, share a meal, laugh together, and dive into faith in a creative and engaging way. It’s Vacation Bible Camp reimagined: fresh, interactive, and full of surprises.

Dear Pulaski Heights Family,

I want to share some exciting news. After reviewing more than 200 applicants for our receptionist position, we have selected one of our own members, Marilyn Micheletti, to serve as the primary point of welcome for Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. Marilyn will begin her new role on June 15, 2026.

Hospitality is one of the most important ministries we offer. Long before someone experiences a worship service, Bible study, or mission project they first experience a voice on the phone, a smile at the front desk, or a warm greeting when they walk through our doors. In many ways, the receptionist is the “face of the place,” helping people feel seen, valued, and welcomed from their very first interaction.

Marilyn is exceptionally well-suited for this ministry and position. Marilyn joined PHUMC in 2017, in addition to her faithful presence in worship, she has also served our congregation and has been a familiar and welcoming presence as an usher. Her professional background spans decades of experience in hospitality, customer service, event coordination, administration, and guest relations. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated great gifts of organization, communication, confidentiality, and creating positive experiences for those she serves.

Marilyn also brings a servant’s heart to this position and currently serves as a Stephen Minister. Her faith, compassion, and commitment to helping others make her an ideal ambassador for our congregation.

As we welcome Marilyn into this important role, I hope you will join me in offering your prayers, encouragement, and support. We are grateful for the gifts she brings to this ministry and excited about the many ways she will help extend the hospitality of Christ to everyone who enters our church.

Tomorrow, join Dr. Robbins for his new bible study, One Book-One Night, and learn about books from the Bible that are often overlooked or ignored. Tomorrow, we will review the book of Lamentations. It will be held from 6:00-7:00PM in Wesley Hall as well as livestreamed. Refreshments provided!

Dear PHUMC,

I’m thrilled to share something we’ve been working towards for some time: Saturday, August 8, PHUMC will launch El Servicio, a new Spanish-language worship service for our congregation and the broader Central Arkansas community.

There are very few mainline—and no United Methodist—Spanish-only worship services in Central Arkansas. We believe we can offer a Spanish-language service that is grace-filled and invites all of God’s children to the table. Here’s what to know:

*When: 4:00 PM on the Saturday following Distribution Day (the first Wednesday of each month)
*Where: Wesley Hall Preacher: Rev. Lupita Chavarria
*Music: Led by our Modern Worship team
*Language: The entire service will be conducted in Spanish
*Communion: Each gathering will include the sacrament of Holy Communion

We need your help. Whether you speak Spanish fluently, are learning, or simply feel called to support this new ministry, there is a place for you. We’re looking for volunteers to greet and usher.
