When the Central Arkansas Diaper Bank was founded in 2019, one in five families in our state struggled to provide diapers for their children. Seven years and hundreds of thousands of diapers later, that number is now one in three. The need has only increased, and hundreds of Central Arkansas families struggle each month to afford essential items! Throughout the month of September, our monthly mission collection will be working to meet the needs of that 33%.
We are once again joining KATV Channel 7 and Edwards Food Giant for the 7th Annual Spirit of Arkansas Diaper Drive. All month we will be encouraging folks to contribute through one of three simple ways:
*Bring diapers to the church and leave them at the Donation Station outside Entrance 9
*Drop diapers off at select Food Giant or Edwards Cash Saver location in Central Arkansas
*Contribute financially at phumc.com/give, allowing us to purchase diapers
The drive runs through the end of September! We give out diapers size Newborn-7 and pullups size 2-3T through 5-6T. Any brand, any amount—every gift makes a difference to a family carrying a burden they were never meant to carry alone.
