🌿 Reflecting on a Wonderful Experience

As Waters Temple reflects on this past Saturday’s Women of Waters Women’s Wellness Workshop, hearts are still full from a day of fellowship, learning, encouragement, and connection.

Women had the opportunity to explore emotional wellness, physical wellness, nutrition, skincare, and healthy lifestyle choices while building meaningful connections with one another. The workshop created a welcoming space for growth, conversation, and empowerment.

A special thank you is extended to our facilitators, volunteers, First Lady Leshala Williams, and every woman who attended and participated. Your support helped make this event a meaningful and memorable experience.

Thank you for helping us continue to cultivate a community where women can learn, grow, and thrive together.

đź’™ A Special Thank You to Our Wellness Experience Facilitators đź’™

As we reflect on our first Women of Waters Wellness Experience, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the amazing women who shared their time, knowledge, gifts, and expertise with us on Saturday.

✨ Melissa Henry – Thank you for helping us explore the importance of emotional and spiritual wellness. Your wisdom, encouragement, and practical insights reminded us that caring for our hearts and minds is an essential part of our overall well-being.

✨ Dena Patterson – Thank you for leading us in movement and demonstrating that wellness can begin with simple, intentional steps. Your energy and encouragement inspired us to make physical wellness a priority.

✨ Nora Ayers – Thank you for sharing your passion for nutrition and juicing. Your presentation gave us practical tools and fresh ideas for nourishing our bodies and making healthier choices every day.

✨ Marayah Smith – Thank you for teaching us about skincare and self-care. Your expertise, demonstrations, and individualized guidance reminded us that caring for ourselves is an important part of stewardship and wellness.

Because of each of you, our women were able to learn, engage, ask questions, and leave with practical tools to continue their wellness journeys. Your willingness to share your gifts helped transform this event from a workshop into a true wellness experience.

On behalf of the Women of Waters Ministry, thank you for partnering with us to create a day filled with learning, connection, encouragement, and growth.

Please help us show our facilitators some love and appreciation in the comments! 💙👏🏾

Sunday Recap | The Right Environment for an Encounter

📖 Scripture Focus: Acts 2:1–3, Acts 2:17, Acts 2:41

On this Pentecost Sunday, we were reminded that life requires preparation, positioning, and expectation. Pentecost — celebrated 50 days after Easter — marked a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit, but the message showed us that the encounter did not happen randomly. The people were gathered together with unity, focus, and purpose.

The 120 believers stayed together after the resurrection with one pursuit and one expectation. Scripture says they were all on one accord, and God moved in an atmosphere that had been prepared for Him.

The message challenged us to consider the environments we create in our hearts and lives. Sometimes the conditions of our hearts can keep our spiritual eyes closed, but when we position ourselves to receive from God, He begins to reveal things to us clearly.

We were reminded that God moves through surrendered vessels. Just as thousands were impacted on the day of Pentecost, we too must come with hunger, expectation, and openness for what God wants to do in and through us.

When the environment is right, hearts are changed, lives are transformed, and God reveals His presence in powerful ways. 🔥

On yesterday, Water’s Temple COGIC had the honor of celebrating our pastor on his 50th Birthday! 🎉

We thank God for the life, leadership, vision, and faithful service that he continues to pour into this ministry and community. His dedication to God’s people and commitment to the work of the Kingdom continue to inspire and encourage us all.

We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate such a special milestone and pray God’s continued blessings, strength, favor, and joy upon his life in this new chapter.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our pastor’s 50th birthday celebration such a memorable occasion.

Sunday Recap | Staying Connected: It’s the Secret to Surviving Every Season

📖 Scripture Focus: John 15:1–8

Today’s message reminded us that our survival is directly connected to what — and who — we are attached to. Jesus declared, “I am the vine,” showing us that apart from Him, we cannot truly thrive, grow, or produce lasting fruit.

The message emphasized that connection matters. The people, environments, and influences we stay connected to can either pour into us or slowly dilute our convictions. We were challenged to examine whether the connections in our lives are drawing us closer to God or further away from His purpose.

Just as a branch depends on the vine for life, we must remain spiritually connected to Christ in every season. Our strength, direction, and endurance are rooted in that relationship.

We were also reminded that God chooses us despite rejection, and He desires more than surface-level commitment — He wants our hearts, loyalty, and surrender. True connection produces fruit, and fruit becomes evidence that we are truly abiding in Him.

The message closed with a powerful reminder about pruning. Sometimes God removes unhealthy attachments, distractions, or habits not to harm us, but to strengthen our connection and help us grow into what He has called us to be.

Staying connected to Jesus is bigger than us — it’s how we survive every season. 🤍
