What an incredible, Spirit-filled atmosphere today as we kicked off Men’s Month 2026!
From the very first welcome, through the powerful Scripture, the fervent prayers, and the anointed worship, the Holy Spirit was moving, and the Word of God was truly ON FIRE!

We witnessed the progression today: it began with a spark, ignited into a flame, and quickly became a roaring blaze!

Dr. Derrick Noble set the stage with Sermon 1 of the "Real Men Series": “A Man Who Knew His Name” (Zephaniah 1:1). We took a deep dive into a powerful history lesson through the scriptures, learning what it truly means to know who we are in God.

Men, this is just the beginning. The fire has been lit, and we aren't looking back!

What a beautiful and spirit-filled Pentecost Sunday at Hoover Church!

Today was a double celebration as we marked the holy day of Pentecost and paused to give a very special recognition to three of our incredible college graduates. We are proud of their hard work, dedication, and the bright futures ahead of them:

🎓 Taylor Swinton – Cum Laude, Howard University (Journalism)
🎓 Sarita Porrier – Clinton School of Public Service
🎓 Trisha Mann – Candler School of Theology

Today also marked the culmination of our 3:20 Creating Impact project grant, which has been a ministry of connection—supporting and lifting up our college students spiritually and in tangible, helpful ways while they were away at college.

To top off this amazing day, our very own graduate, Trisha Mann, delivered a powerful and moving message titled "Successfully Completed" based on Numbers 11. What a timely reminder of God's faithfulness as one chapter closes and the next begins!
