It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of James Schoenrock, a longtime BMA pastor and leader who faithfully served the Lord and the Baptist Missionary Association in many roles over the years.

Bro. Schoenrock served as a pastor, as Missions Director for the BMA of America, and as president of both the BMA of Texas and the BMA of America. His life and ministry left a lasting impact on churches, missionaries, and countless individuals across the BMA family.

Please join us in praying for his family and loved ones during this time, asking God to surround them with comfort, peace, and the hope we have in Christ.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of James's life at 10:00 a.m. on December 27, 2025, at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 U.S. Highway 80, Sunnyvale, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in James's honor may be made to BMA Theological Seminary, P.O. Box 670, Jacksonville, Texas 75766 or to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Dr, Little Rock, AR 72205.

It is with great sorrow that a brother and a friend has gone to be with the Lord. I had the opportunity to get to know Jim and Becky during the time they served as state missionaries. I want to encourage everyone to join me in praying for her and the children.

It was exciting to witness the organization of a new church in North Little Rock on April 19th. Brother Juan Calos completed his time as a state missionary to become the pastor of The Growing in Christ's Church," Iglesia Creciendo en Cristo." Please remember to pray for them, and I want to thank everyone who made this possible.
