1 week to go before we kick off our Episcopal Youth Community!

EYC is open to all 9th through 12th graders and is a welcoming space where teens can be themselves, build lasting friendships, and grow in their faith. Through games, service, shared meals, and meaningful conversations, EYC invites youth to discover their gifts, ask big questions, and grow in their relationship with God and one another. The more the merrier, so feel free to bring a friend along!

As we head into this new formation year, we want to improve our current records and learn about the best way to contact our families, so please fill in the registration form provided out at your earliest convenience. Physical copies are also available at Christ Church.

Know a 3rd-6th grader? Invite them to be a part of EKC this fall!

EKC is a youth program at Christ Church that provides our younger youth with a space to explore their faith, learn more about the Episcopal church, and grow in community with one another, all while having fun in a safe, welcoming setting!

Taking a look back to the beginning of Christ Church, and all the way back to the disciple Peter to figure out where we're going...

As we look ahead to a new season of ministry, may we be inspired by Peter's faith, a faith that doubts and stumbles at times but always follows Jesus. May we also hold on to the best of what those early Episcopalians started at Christ Church, and pass it on to those who will come after us.

Today’s Gospel passage includes the very first Greek verb I ever learned…

I do not think the Church’s work of binding and loosing is about clutching and throwing away, either people or empires. I think it is the careful work of unlearning, untethering ourselves and our world from empires and reconnecting our hearts, strand by single strand, with the heart of God.

Do you have teen in your life who is curious about our faith tradition? Are YOU the curious teen?

The Episcopal Church has a long and storied history, a robust worship practice, and a surprising simple collection of doctrines that leave plenty of room for personal interpretation. All youth in 9th-12th grades are invited to unpack some of the mysteries and quirks of our Church with the Rev. Hannah Ho**er on Wednesday evenings this fall. It will be a safe and affirming space where all questions are welcome. Participants do not have to attend every session, but fuller participation will serve as Confirmation preparation if desired.

Check out the details below and let us know if you're interested. And please don't hesitate to reach out with questions!
