Some things we have to constantly stress at CORE Apologetics are initial impressions of "apologetics":

1. Yes, apologetics is a weird word (we'll certainly give you that one!).

2. It has nothing to do with apologizing or saying sorry.

3. It has nothing to do with being academic.

4. It has nothing to do with being argumentative.

5. We all do apologetics every day!

In fact, I would imagine many of you would be surprised to find out that you do some form of apologetics every day.

Apologetics is not just something only for "Christian academics who like to argue." Sadly, because of these misconceptions, many miss out on the great benefits of gaining a deeper and richer understanding of your faith to help you mature as a disciple, be better prepared in evangelism, and help strengthen your faith in times of trials, temptation, and tribulation (Phil. 4:8).
