During summer, in the hour before Sunday morning worship, we transition to some weeks of Summer Sabbath. No formal studies, no hot coffee, no 9:30 start time, but instead a slower, quieter approach into God's presence.
As with last year, in the month of June, our parlor will again become a gallery. And this summer, the Christian Education Ministry Team is inviting each of you you to be one of our featured artists.
The theme for this summer's show is, 'I see God in...' Tables will be set up in the parlor with supplies for you to create your response. But you might also bring an item--a photograph, a piece of sheet music, a letter, a quilt square; whatever it is, you would know best. Art will be strung on a line for all to enjoy. Please be sure and add your name to your offering.
This opportunity is yet another way for us to tell our stories and get to know each other better.

Congratulations to Robert for 25 years in the ministry. Last Sunday we celebrated with a heartfelt tribute by David Stricklin and presented him with a beautiful hydrangea for his yard. Here's to 25 more!

The Presbyterian Women Birthday Diaper Dash collection was a huge success thanks to the generous donations from the Westover congregation.

We were able to donate 6,122 diapers to El Zocalo, and they were very appreciative.

Thank you Betty for opening her home for the PW Birthday celebration and to Catherine for driving the diaper brigade to El Zocalo!

McDonald's – Palacios Enterprises initially brought food and helped serve lunch at the Little Rock Stewpot for both Thanksgiving and Christmas in 2025. Beginning in January 2026, they agreed to donate an entrée every 4th Friday of the month. On Friday, May 22, they brought 50 sacks, each containing a hamburger, three chicken nuggets and a cookie. Because Jason, Little Rock Stewpot Day Manager, felt that the sacks were not quite enough for an adult, the sacks were handed out as a bonus along with the regular sack lunch. Thank you McDonald's – Palacios Enterprises.

Special Guest student Rabbi Yossi Elmackias from Jerusalem will be with us this Sunday, May 31 in the Parlor at 9:30 am. Followed by Worship at 10:30.
Congregation B’Nai Israel is hosting a rabbinical student from Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem this month. Student Rabbi Yossi Elmackias grew up in an Orthodox home. His father, a cantor, taught him the customs of Moroccan Judaism. We are grateful to friend of Westover Rabbi Barry Block for making this visit possible. Student Rabbi Elmackias will speak about his experience as a rabbinical student, the challenges of living in Israel today, and the Golden HaNassi Fellowship that brings him to Little Rock. Robert will interview him after he speaks.

The Enneagram class will begin on Monday June 1. The class will meet on Mondays from 6-7:30pm through July 19. This introduction to the Enneagram is for those who are unfamiliar with the Enneagram tradition or who want a quick refresher. Over the course of the eight weeks, we will explore the history and philosophy of the Enneagram, learn your own Enneagram number, and learn about the other eight numbers on the Enneagram. The class is led by Catherine Lowry with assistance from Robert.

There is ample room for everyone in the class. To ensure that we have enough tables and chairs set up, please let Robert know if you plan to attend.
