Little Rock ASK - Community Bible Study

Our new session of our After School Kids Community Bible Study begins Tuesday, January 13th, at Calvary Baptist Church, 5700 Cantrell Road, from 3:45-5:30. Our class is for K-5th grades, and we are studying the Psalms. We meet for ten weeks, and our last night will be March 17th. Our fall ASK class begins Tuesday, September 12 and runs through November 14. We meet at Calvary Baptist Church, 5700 Cantrell Road from 3:30 to 5:30. Our lessons for fall will be ”The Patriarchs—Say “Yes” to God. Children in grades K-6th are welcome. Come join us for fellowship and Bible study! You may register using our website.

Our second semester of A.S.K begins Tuesday, January 11, at 3:45. Our study will be the New Testament Power and Truth of Jesus! It is going to be an exciting semester, and we hope to see you there!

Next week is our last night of A.S.K. for this semester, and we will end with our "Share" night. Parents are invited to come from 5 to 6 to listen to the children sing, say their memory verse and Bible Cheer, and share their favorite parts about A.S.K. We will also have a slideshow of many pictures from the semester, along with pizza and cookies! We look forward to seeing parents that night!

A few weeks ago we learned about how important prayer is because it helps connect us to God. We used an object lesson that was amazing! The glass represents us, a lit match dropped into the glass is like our prayers going up to God, who is represented by the balloon. After holding the balloon onto the glass for a few minutes it became stuck to it, and it was strong enough to lift the glass! It stayed stuck and could lift the glass for over 18 hours! Lesson learned? As our prayers go up, God comes close to us, and we are more connected to Him!
