As Rock Creek Women, we want to know Jesus more, grow stronger in our faith, and overflow with gratitude. We want to be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.

If you were at church this morning, you know Jason’s message today included this!

We were not designed to do the Christian life alone. We need someone in our corner praying for us.

Be connected.
Be connected to Christ.
Be connected to truth.
Be connected to one another.

How can we make sure we are connected?

Through:
- Stability (returning to Christ, not in circumstances)
- Accountability (every believer needs someone to invest in them and someone to invest in)
- Community (each one of us are a part of the body of Christ)
- Encouragement (an obedient responsibility)
- Focus (keeps from being distracted)

We should have 3 types of people in our life:
1. Someone praying for you.
2. Someone telling you to get it together.
3. Someone who will stand beside you and encourage you.

Satan wants you disconnected. A believer standing strong is a believer that’s connected!

☀️Summer Bible Study is coming in July!☀️

Hear from our study leader, Brooke Rosson:

“Hey guys! I’m Brooke Rosson and I’m so excited to share what we’ll be talking about in our Summer Bible Study in July! How do we experience the abundant life that Jesus Himself said that He came to give? It starts with intentional acts of obedience on our part to abide in Him daily and what better way to set ourselves up for success in doing this than implementing spiritual disciplines within our daily lives.
On Monday nights in July, we’ll dive deeper into what spiritual disciplines are, why they are so important, and how we can practice them. I hope you can join us, I can’t wait!”

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬-‭11‬

This week, Jason continued his series “In The Fight” and reminded us to stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around our waist.

The belt of truth is not about hoping that the fight is not coming, it’s about an anchor to pull everything together so that we can stand in the middle of it. Stability comes from applying truth! When life feels uncertain and you’re not sure you can stand, that’s when you go back to the word of God. Anchor your life in the truth.

What you feel is real, but it’s not always true.

Jason showed us a tackle box made by an 8th grade girl, which included battles labeled, color coded by emotion. The tackle box was full of God’s word - the truth!

He encouraged us to make a tackle box, too! 🤍

This day holds weight. It reminds us that freedom came at a cost, and that faith gives us language for both mourning and hope.
