We are sad to share that Father John Oswald died Wednesday, June 10. He was 90 years old. This year he celebrated his 65th anniversary of priestly service. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6 at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock. The rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. and burial at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock.

A message from Father Gregory Luyet:

Unfortunately, we are cancelling the 250 hours of exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Only 77 spots were filled out of 250. Most evenings had no one scheduled from midnight until 5 or 6 am. It is not safe to leave the Blessed Sacrament exposed and unattended. For this reason, I am cancelling the 250 hours of exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. However, everyone is still welcome to come to the Blessed Sacrament chapel during the time to volunteer or to pray at home. What is import is that we each take an hour to be in prayer for our nation. Our prayers added to those our brothers and sisters around the United States help to prepare our nation to be consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus."

Your ordination is a beautiful witness of faith, generosity, and trust in God’s call. Through your “yes,” countless lives will be touched by the celebration of the Sacraments, the proclamation of the Gospel, and your pastoral care.

Con gran alegría y gratitud a Dios, felicitamos a nuestros cinco sacerdotes recién ordenados al comenzar su ministerio sacerdotal al servicio de Cristo y de Su Iglesia.

Su ordenación es un hermoso testimonio de fe, generosidad y confianza en el llamado de Dios. A través de su “sí”, innumerables personas serán tocadas por la celebración de los Sacramentos, la proclamación del Evangelio y su cuidado pastoral.

Como comunidad parroquial, damos gracias a Dios por su dedicación, perseverancia y entrega durante sus años de formación. Tengan la certeza de nuestras oraciones mientras inician esta nueva etapa de su ministerio sacerdotal.

Last night, members of our Youth Group attended the Holy Hour celebrating the ordination of our new priests. It was a beautiful evening filled with prayer, gratitude, and joy as five men answered God’s call to serve His Church through the priesthood.

Please keep these newly ordained priests in your prayers as they begin their ministry in their assigned parishes. May the Lord bless them abundantly and guide them faithfully throughout their priestly journey.

Anoche, miembros de nuestro Grupo de Jóvenes participaron en la Hora Santa en celebración de la ordenación de nuestros nuevos sacerdotes. Fue una hermosa noche llena de oración, gratitud y alegría al ver cómo cinco hombres respondieron al llamado de Dios para servir a Su Iglesia a través del sacerdocio.

Les pedimos que mantengan a estos sacerdotes recién ordenados en sus oraciones mientras comienzan su ministerio en las parroquias a las que han sido asignados. Que el Señor los bendiga abundantemente y los guíe fielmente a lo largo de su camino sacerdotal.

Dear parishioners, today we joyfully celebrate the 4th Anniversary of Priesthood of our pastor Rev. J. Jaime Nieto. We thank God for his faithful service, his dedication to our parish family, and for the many ways he brings Christ to our community through the Sacraments, prayer, and compassionate leadership.

Over the time that that he has been with us, his guidance, kindness, and commitment have been a blessing to all of us. We are grateful for his “yes” to God’s call and for the love and care he shares with our parish each day.

Please join us in praying that the Lord continues to strengthen and bless him with wisdom, joy, and many more years of faithful ministry.
